I just got back into watching Naruto after the fillers stopped. I'm liking it so far, but does anyone else think Deidara's (sp?) hands with the moths is kind of retarded? Also, he all like HO HO STEALTH MISSION then flies over the village on a ginat fucking bird. Also the other sand ninja's were pretty useless.

I thought the hands were sort of retarded in manga, but it really stands out in anime for some reason. About the stealth, I suppose giant birds aren't that rare in Naruto universe. I totally agree with other sand ninja though. It's actually very stupid that Gaara is suddenly the Kazekage. Really, just few years ago he lost to a genin. Aren't there any stronger ninja available. Konoha got all the super trios, even Kakashi's propably stronger than Gaara.

I don't understand the whole strength thing in Naruto as in the training eps Garaa could've fucking killed anything that breathed. Orochimaru held up against jiriyama so that must mean he's stronger. How strong is Kakeshi or some of the other guys? Like it's pretty ridiculous but not yet to the DBZ scale where "I BREAK WIND AND EVERY PLANET BEHIND ME IS DESTROYED HAHAHA!!!". It seems pretty inconsistent (much like how on earth trees are still standing. I am sure every forest on the planet has been cut up, drowned in sand, trampled on etc by now!)

this week's episode was the best since the first double episode imo. the animation was really good and the pace was faster as well. i really liked the part where naruto tells kyuubi is sealed inside him and seeing a glimpse of all the akatsuki members (leader was in next episode preview).

the opening was partly new as well.

Yeah, I agree. Really enjoyed this week's episode(s), and the new Akatsuki members, especially the leader look FUCKING AWESOME. I thought the Kankurou vs Sasori fight was great, because it wasn't stretched too far or anything. Good episode, and the flashbacks actually helped this time around, rather than swamping the episode. :x

the second half was kinda useless, but with it being Naruto, I'd be disappointed if half the episode WASN'T flashbacks. The animation was pretty bad at parts like where they are flying through the forest (NOTE: Watch, they are not leaping from branches like they used to... they are flying yet the sounds suggest they are leaping from branches) and at times good, and it was pretty goofy when someone would mention something, someone else (Sakura mainly) would gasp and then say "Oh yeah I knew it all along".
The Kankuro vs Bulbasaur fight was cool though.

we got ELDERLY WALKING IN HALLWAYS instead, you can't be disappointed

it was a pretty good episode, though the animation quality got worse near the end. the akatsuki scene owned.

This episode was actually better than I expected. Much better than ep 10. I loved the character drawings (so close to Kishimoto's style except for the sometimes pointy noses) and the animation in this episode. I can't wait for the next episode!

I thought it was pretty much as good as 10. Good animation and they managed to make this part pretty interesting even with the slow pace. Things should get more interesting soon. But I really hope they won't ruin the next fights like they ruined Gaara's fight.
