Studio Pierrot are really irritating me with these eps. This whole arc looks like some experimental arc what with all the different animation teams every episode. Why can't Shippuden be animated like the Sasuke retrieval saga or all the new Bleach episodes!?

Multiple teams work on multiple episodes at the same time. That's the only way they could be pumping out an episode a week. Remember... each episode takes 1-6 months to make... and for not having an off season... the quality is going to take hits. Now I'm not making any excuses for them... I'm just trying to dispel the whole "lol expirmental" argument anime fans seem to be getting nowadays for continuous series like Naruto and Bleach.

ok so if you are wondering whether or not to watch 29-30 then I can say that it could be worth it. At first it seems like a bunch of shit because there's a 5 minute recap of the 28 with the same fucking shitty visuals, but then it starts to pick up the pace and get to the good stuff.

It still feels tho that episode 29 has too much Sharingan-Distortion-W-w-w-what... w-what is this???
There could be like half of it and even then it would feel like too much but you can just skip through it after you've seen it once.

Episode 30 is pretty boring towards the end and there's only one decent fight presented and even that is short and ends with a fucking ridiculous way. I didn't even remember how stupid this shit was when I read it in the manga. Basically what I'm referring to is the fucking ridiculous dimension warp sharingan lol or whatever the fuck shit. But I guess ridiculous shit is just one defining factor with anime.

Yes because with the quality of shippuuden, I don't even care what they say, and tbh all they ever say in naruto is "that jutsu", "can't be...!!", "GAARAAAAA!!!" and "My ninja way!!!".

So by watching raws i really dont miss anything.

I personally liked the 29-30 because we finally get to see Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan in action, where we've basically been waiting since the beginning of Shippuden for him to finally unveil his new weapon.. I'm diggin' the blackhole ability, it has its advantages over Itachi's gengetsu version but it also has its disadvantages..

Too bad though, if it was Gengitsu like Itachi's, he could've taken out Deidra the first time he used it on him.. Still a cool ability and if he could control it a little better, he could've taken out Deidra

I quite liked this double episode, tbh. It wasn't fantastically wonderful, but it was definitely a step above usual, I reckon.

I love how in Naruto it takes half an episode to say "we've gotten tired due to fighting for so long" by saying "they have gotten stronger" " no, because they are merely constructs blah blah blah we are tired" and that to defeat the enemy we must... become stronger *gasp*!
I mean jesus, this stuff is common sense, IT DOES NOT NEED AN EPISODES WORTH OF CONVERSATION.

if you ask me naruto explains EVERYTHING too damn much. you cant piece together that the guy who covers ALL his weapons with poison just poisoned someone by scratching them. nope, it has to zoom into the weapon dripping with poison, zoom into the wound surrounded by the dripping poison, then show someone thinking/saying "OH! MUST BE POISONED!"

course this anime just loooooves to drag things out. just for ONCE, id like to see an enemy who pauses in battle to take time to explain something, get a kunai right in the face while doing so.

BTW thank you for the "manga spoiler". some of us are current enough in the anime to see spoilers for TV but dont want to run into any "manga" ones

31 is a really, REALLY boring episode. To me it felt like a waste of good 25 mins like it often has since shippuuden began. I dunno maybe you can enjoy it if you like overdramatic anime talk. Talk that goes on for 90% of the episode that it. It just goes on and on and on and fuck you could've put all that shit in 10 minutes and have the rest of the episode display something even remotely interesting. There's also the event that everyone has guessed to happen since 5 episodes ago.

Also the new opening is a really big spoilerfest if you can do some 1 + 1. It has a really gay jpop song too. At least the animation was decent, not that anything really moved.

Let me take a guess at what happens, (i haven't seen it yet, downloading it right now) they do the res jutsu and it takes the whole episode cos the old woman is talking about this that and the other. Garra wakes up, end of episode   so did i get it?
