they were reading the corpses mind iirc, that's why each village has the anbu squad to take their dead, so other villages can't take the corpses to find out their special jutsu

also the eye patch dude has been in plenty of chapters, he was the one that trained that emotionless kid and he wanted konoha to be more warlike iirc iirc

Danzou-teme. He wanted to be the Hokage, but ended up losing to Sarutobi (the Third) and so created Root, an underground organisation made up of ANBU specialists. That's why the Third and Tsunade haven't been able to get rid of him - he is basically in charge of the 'ULTRA-secret police', as it were. As for being evil - well, he has his own agenda. Really he wants Konoha to rise back to the military strength it once was known for and to be less friendly with the other villages - like Sand.

As to Madara outlasting Pein... Well, we'll see soon enough. If they can find the real Pein among the fakes then there may be a chance of killing him, but I have a feeling that now it/he/they know where Naruto is the real one'll bail out and go fox hunting.

I know far too much about this anime. XP

PS- the note that Jiraiya left was very obvious as soon as they read it! "the real one is not with them"

I'm completely blown away that none of them would figure it out until they test it!

Yea I was praying he would just die. They had like 4 pages of Naruto teaching him how to do the Sexy Jutsu and somehow from that he learns that move? Wtf?

Now of course they're already talking about bringing Kakashi back to life already, and there are so many random Shinobi mixed in with the main characters it's damn near impossible to tell who is in what scene.

I thought One Piece was cool because the number of characters was so complicated, but Naruto had to beat that and it's just this huge mess.

stick to english dubs of the anime or something

(the 4 pages of naruto teaching him a jutsu didnt say what it was at all, and it was konohamaru thinking it'll be another sexy jutsu)

Based on this week's chapter, it seemed like it didn't even do any damage whatsoever.

Also, this week's chapter was really unexpected. I still can't believe that just happened. Although I have a feeling the strong summon is going to be something like Naruto and the frogs summoning away the villagers who were inside the blast's radius. Or then they managed to do something else to protect them because I have hard time believing so many characters would die just like that. Of course they could be outside the actual blast but it would be weird for everyone to survive the blast wave and collapsing buildings.

Anyway, hopefully it's finally time for Naruto vs Pain.

This is what I thought, since the frogs summoned something like a frame before the blast. I think Naruto is probably going to come back and challenge Pain, but I'm interested in seeing how this affects Sasuke, since he was planning on taking Konoha himself. I'm forgetting the reason why Sasuke was working with Akatsuki, but I'm sure once he finds out what Pain was doing, things will change and maybe Sasuke+Naruto?!?!

I bet anything the next chapter will be about that Killerbee asshole though. They love to leave cliffhangers like that.

Also, I'm confused. I thought this whole time we were told that Pain wasn't Nagato. Didn't Jiraiya say that? IIRC, then Nagato hasn't actually been seen yet, but is hiding somewhere manipulating the bodies?

Why would Sasuke suddenly team up with Naruto because of Pain destroying Konoha? Sasuke told Madara himself that he wants to destroy all of Konoha so unless he was lying and has been putting up an act, there's no reason for him to suddenly start working with Naruto. Besides, there's definitely going to be another Naruto vs Sasuke fight later on. And the reason Sasuke is working with Akatsuki is because Uchiha clan got wiped out by Konoha's order.

Where did you get that idea? Jiraya didn't really get the secret behind Pain until the last minute and he died before he could tell it to anyone. Who Pain really is has been up in the air for a long while but Nagato all the hints were pointing to Nagato. We knew he was one of Jiraya's students, we knew he has Rinnegan and during Jiraya's fight we learned that he is controlling bodies which Jiraya had already met. Later on we learned that all the bodies he was controlling were already dead.

I don't feel like looking chapter through chapter to figure out why I thought Jiraiya said that, but I looked on wiki and it said this:
"Several years later he met Nagato, a boy Jiraiya assumed to be the subject of the prophecy and thus trained him to be the world's savior. Believing Pain to be Nagato, Jiraiya tries to kill his student to prevent the world's destruction.[23] At the battle's conclusion Jiraiya realizes that he was mistaken; not only is Pain not Nagato, but Naruto was actually the boy foretold in the prophecy."

As for Sasuke, I'm sure we will see Sasuke v. Naruto yea, but Sasuke's entire plotline is TEEN ANGST REVENGE. It would fit perfectly in the plot if he tried to kill Pein because Pain took away his revenge. Also, should Pain's attack have worked, this would be the second time Sasuke revenge plans were foiled.

Btw, I love that every time Naruto goes training, the trick to learning the next super awesome move is always shadow clones! And I never see it coming either!

So how have you guys been enjoying the current fight in manga? I think it's been one of the best fights in Naruto so far and this week's chapter really nailed it. I can't seriously tell where this is going but I can't wait to see next chapter(s) after this week's cliffhanger. It was a pretty sad chapter too.

And it's already been nearly 150 chapters since Kyuubi's last appereance and this time it's 6 tails.

Are you serious? Hinata was a throw-away character to begin with, now she got maybe 3 pages of being an interesting character serving only to get killed so Naruto can level up. There's been all this buzz about Sage mode only to have Naruto lose it before he can really accomplish much of anything with it and then fall back on the same goddamn Kyuubi shit. And this time he doesn't even have any screen time to show any emotion for it, it just happens out of nowhere when Hinata, who he hasn't really cared for in the entire series, gets knocked out. But a huge fucking hole in Konoha village, yeh that's ok. This is all just so illogical and badly written I can't take it seriously, it was cool to finally, after four hundred fucking chapters, see the main character of the fucking manga be worthwhile of something, and then that chakra absorb guy grabs him out of nowhere which was just major disappointment in a nutshell. Unless there's gonna be a shocker here where Naruto can actually control the kyuubi for some reason now, this looks to be turning out like all the other fights ever where Naruto threw a bunch of cool looking attacks but never hit anything.
