So... I actually got pulled into this and watched all two seasons of it which I may or may not regret in the far future. Oh right the last episode of season 2 was today so... my opinions.
Well the start was a bit rocky but all in all it was alright. I liked the shift from a selfish reason to a good one for doing all the things Lelouch did like turning the subconscious of humanity on his father and mother, or how he broke the cycle of hate by centering it all on himself by being an all around bastard on purpose I actually enjoyed the development of the main character and some of the stuff he realizes actually got to me. I didn't actually like Kallen all that much, even after he died she still talks to him and the most probable reason she went after him was because he rejected her and she might have joined his side had he told her she was important to him. I also personally wanted Kallen to die. Then theres the ending, it is pretty open because I noticed how Charles didn't strangle Lelouch while he was disapearing and that Lelouch had physical contact with that mark thing on his hand which tells me that theres a chance that Lelouch sealed his fate to become immortal after his first 'death'. But this is based off the fact that Charles made contact with V.V.'s mark with his hand which is why it apeared there.
I noticed how everytime Lelouch was going to embrace death until the end of season 2 something always happened that prevented him from dieing, which could be an intentional hint that Lelouch isn't/wasn't good enough to die. But yeah basically season 2 became a hell in a hand basket. Annoyed me how most of them didn't bother to remember that Zero himself (as Lelouch) pretty much said he was going to be a great evil to destroy greater evil.
A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.
