I don't remember Sega ever redistributing GameCube controllers. 
Actually, it's all those add-ons Sega provided for their consoles (although I'm not really sure with the Saturn and DC, all I know so far are the 32X and SCD for the Genesis). It's slightly the same for the Wii and the remote add-ons. Why would you have to buy all those add-ons seperately if you could've bought the whole package?
Although it could be expensive...
But scratch that. Multiple control options is a good idea, but focusing too much on the GC would've been bad. Thankfully, it's possible with the Wii-chuck.
Haha. That'd be great, but they'd have to include the Defense Attorney for the sake of....dare I say it?....justice.
