If there is some other unannounced character outside of Nintendo, it shouldn't be Sonic.

...let's just say it should be a certain prosecutor with a whip.

Haha. That'd be great, but they'd have to include the Defense Attorney for the sake of....dare I say it?....justice.

This isn't really related to Super Smash Brothers, but I just now realized how clever Ness' name was.  I think I am the last person alive to get this joke.

Bad move, Nintendo. Bad move. You're walking on Sega's road to console obscurity.

I don't remember Sega ever redistributing GameCube controllers. :hmm:

Although if they are still exploring control options, I can see why this title is so far from release. (I would think that'd be something normally taken care of and out of the way LONG before development even begins! *maybe with tweaking/reworking during playtesting, but still*)

Well, according to the Wikipedia entry, it's most likely a joke about the NES.  It IS an anagram for SNES, but considering it was the Super Famicom in Japan and he was still called Ness, that's not as likely.

Ness's name might be more obvious once you've played Mother 1, where the main character's name, as I recall, was "Ninten."

Actually, it's all those add-ons Sega provided for their consoles (although I'm not really sure with the Saturn and DC, all I know so far are the 32X and SCD for the Genesis). It's slightly the same for the Wii and the remote add-ons. Why would you have to buy all those add-ons seperately if you could've bought the whole package?

Although it could be expensive...

But scratch that. Multiple control options is a good idea, but focusing too much on the GC would've been bad. Thankfully, it's possible with the Wii-chuck.

Haha. That'd be great, but they'd have to include the Defense Attorney for the sake of....dare I say it?....justice.

*imagines Defense Attorney's Smash Attack*

*imagines Defense Attorney's BRAWL Move (or whatever you do with the Brawl Emblem)*

Nah, his Super Move would obviously be "Objection!" "Take that!"

I thought it had something to do with an old man and his gavel.

It would work, but IMO "Objection!" would've been a better Smash Move instead of a Super Move. If no, then what's his Smash Move? Slapping Mario with folders containing vital pieces of evidence?

The biggest difference between Sega and Nintendo, as someone said before, is that Nintendo does not like to compete with themselves.  They aren't going to make a steering wheel or a fishing rod or a microphone for their system unless it is used by a game they develop.  They leave those sort of things to the third parties.  Which is good, because unlike Sega, if they don't take, they don't take a hit financially.

The new update with Pit isn't much, but it's nice I guess and gives some insight to the use of Sacred Bow at least in being able to affect the trajectory of his arrows by tilting the analog stick.

Holy shit I just saw Masafumi Takada and Jun Fukuda on that composers list. That is fantastic news.
I don't have any hopes for a killer7 tie-in (in fact, that'd be a [very] bad idea), but their work is so good. I can listen to the killer7 music all the time, and I'm not normally one for VG music. I really hope that they have a good contribution.
