I love Sonic, but I have to admit, from where we stand, it's VERY hard to determine the negatives that are going to balance him out. He looks pretty much unstopable in those videos, as all we see him doing is kicking ass.
His moves are unnecessarily similar too. Actually, what's the difference?
Both are spin moves, both charge, so the difference is that one can jump into the air? I'm guessing the down B move is the one that looks so fast in the trailer.

Hopefully when Falcon shows up they'll make a video of him kicking Sonic's ass.

OUCH.  Oh well, if that's the difference between a great game and an awesome game, whatever.

Let's hope so. He'd be a very obvious addition.

The delay makes me sad, but it'll make the game better.  Hopefully they'll work on fleshing out/improving the online aspects of the game...and maybe adding Megaman ^_^

Why do they have to recycle the same move twice? Or is there a difference besides one charges up/may do more damage and the other can jump? If so, let me know please Yes I know that is Sonics trademark, but that is not all he is limited to. (ex: some sort of a ring attack, or some of the attacks from Sonic Battle or Adventure series)

But I do think he will be a great character and I am very glad they added him in, regardless of what his move set may be.

They should have announced the delay first and Sonic second.

For some reason, I feel like this delay was really unanticipated by Nintendo.  Unlike all those fake delays for Twilight Princess.

There's no such thing as the Sonic Battle or Adventure series.

All it says is that there is a "pop" on 'down B'. And that the 'down B' Attack charges the 'side B', I believe.

From the website IGN:

...his Up + B, which summons a spring to send him bouncing high into the sky, and his Spin Dash technique, which can be charged with Down + B or sent flying more quickly with Side + B. No word yet on what his Neutral B will be, but with Sonic playable in the new Smash demo we might find out soon, separate from the SmashBros.com blog.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be arguing. I do apologize. 

Anyway, I am sad for the delay, I was looking forward to it for Christmas, but if it will make the game better, I am all for it.

IGN has a hands-on up.  They reveal a couple new things.  They say MetaKnight is fun to play - I had a feeling he would be.
