I think they opted not to use the wii remote for this game.

Which is a good decision imho.

So we're stuck to either the Classic controller or the GC controller? And I'll have to bother buying any of these two?

Who am I kidding, the Wii remote doesn't even have enough buttons, I guess.

As for the update, well, better luck tomorrow, or maybe next week.

They are making a new Rygar game for Wii...

I just wish they would get on with it and tell us the characters.  Not neccessarily the new ones, just the returing ones.  I could give two shits about Game & Watch, but I really want Ness, Marth, and Captail Falcon.
I'm still thinking Ness is going to get replaced with Lucas. But he'll probably play basically the same.

I'm wondering, is there anybody else out there besides me who does NOT want to know who all the playable characters are for SSBB? I just love not knowing who I could potentially unlock. To me, it's part of the initial experience, and I wouldn't want it spoiled.

I LOVE Zero Suit Samus and MetaKnight. Pit and Snake seem to be a nice add-on too.

For those who haven't seen, check out the video's beneath the menu.

Yeah I hadn't seen the November video before. It would be awesome if Snake had a charge-up tranq gun that could put people to sleep!

I totally agree with what you say.

Except that Mother 3 hasn't been released outside of Japan.  Yes, I know Melee was released with Fire Emblem characters in it before any Fire Emblem games were released outside of Japan, but Mother 3 has no chance of being released while Fire Emblem did.

I say this not based on Mother 3's popularity, but based on the fact that Sakurai has said in the past that he had wanted to include Lucas rather than Ness in the first place, but that Earthbound 64 kept getting pushed back so he had to put in Ness instead, and because it's been stated elsewhere that a track from Mother 3 was being included in SSBB.

Now admittedly, that Mother 3 track could just be alternate music for Ness's stage or something, but I'm really not going to be surprised if Lucas replaces him.

Also, I wouldn't say Mother 3 has no chance of being released. Just practically no chance. NOA has at least admitted to being aware of it and being aware of fan interest and the sales records in Japan, at least.

Players will be able to choose from multiple control options. Main focus is on GC controller, and Nintendo is currently considering redistribution of them.

Bad move, Nintendo. Bad move. You're walking on Sega's road to console obscurity.

No motion-sensitive controls in main game.

No surprise there, I guess.

I'm not entirely certain how this is a bad move by Nintendo.  Every VC game can use the GCN controller, as well as a few Wii games.  On top of that, this gives people who have never had a GCN before the ability to play those games.

I was looking at the Wiki of Nintendo characters, and I hadn't realized Star Tropics was a Nintendo made game.  What if Mike Jones would be included in this?  Or Zoda? Oh shit, what if they make a new Star Tropics game!?

I think I got a little ahead of myself there.

Just ignore Blackdest, from his other posts, he seems to have no basis in reality.

But just the thought of a new Star Tropics game makes me giddy... too bad it is only a dream.

Alright, I must've been a bit thrown away at that fact (because I was really wondering how will the controls go), and my posts were retarded. And sometimes I can be an idealist. Sorry about that.

May as well go fuck myself...
