Alright, the kid is 11 years old. Not many 11 years olds are going to chase a wild boar for 3+ hours trying to kill it. I don't know of a lot of 11 year olds who can even handle a gun. I'm sure there's quite a few, but I don't know of that many. Anyway, I think it is impressive for an 11 year old.
Also, I'm sure the kid didn't kill the thing to impress anybody or receive lots of praise.

Why else would he have killed it? Sure maybe boars need to be killed to stop them fucking everything up but I'm pretty sure there are adult hunters too.

By the way NOT MANY KIDS CAN HANDLE A GUN is not a reason for it to be impressive if you don't think shooting shit's a positive past time. Like, not many kids can hang their arse over a road bridge and perfectly time their shits to land on the windscreens of cars passing below.. but for the ones who can that's not really impressive, it's just kind of stupid (I'd be impressed but that's another story)

I guess it comes down to whether you're impressed by SHOOTIN SHIT to start with, if you are I can see how it would be impressive for an 11 year old to do it I guess.

I didn't think any large land mammals like this still existed in North America since the first humans came here 12,000 years ago.  I guess I was wrong.

To be honest I had no idea there were hogs that were that big.  The biggest pig I've ever saw was a farm pig at 300 pounds...

An injured animal (humans included) can pull some feats you wouldn't believe. Basically the body knows it's running out of chances, so it pulls out all the stops.

Thats pretty crap though, the poor thing was domesticated no wonder it didn't kill the kid. That makes it all seem even shittier.
