Comments:[/u] Well thanks to a shitty (for the 2nd consecutive week) week for ALL of my players, for some reason everyone playing well below even their average let alone excelling, I lose to the still and only undefeated team left, Jotuns (4-0) 45-35. With the exception of Tom Brady, my players have performed horrendously for the past 2 weeks but at least there's still a lot of time left on the season. After starting 2-0 and in 1st place, I have now dropped to 2-2 and down to 4th. Hopefully I'll break my 2 game skid this week...!

In other News, previously winless Wireman (1-3) defeated The EnlightenedPosse (1-3) 58-31 to get his first win of the regular season. Now all teams have at least one win on the campaign.

Board of Education (2-2) routed Blades (2-2) 56-40 to drop him back down to .500 and to temporarily postpone his reign at 2nd place.

it gives you herpes (3-1) has pulled into 2nd place by winning 2 games in a row with a 57-50 triumph over lowly Fooseball Fiend (1-3).

P.S. And no I don't know who those teams are. I e-mailed them several times through the yahoo email service but they never responded

Woot!
Still on top. Pardon my ego but, if I manage to win the championship this year, I will have won every fantasy football league I've ever participated in. Which totals to eight thus far, half of which are not internet related.

On a less ego-inflicted rant, you should have totally beat me last week. I admit I've been getting pretty lucky so far this year. If I truly want to keep my record in tact I'm going to have to try a lot harder in the games to come. Luck can have nothing to do with it.

Thanks for keeping us so dramatically posted on the ongoings of the league. It adds a ni itce touch of flavor to all. :)

Honestly, Board of Education is such a  sweet name.

Also, I'm going to sticky this thread as it is one of two active threads. I'll also make sure it gets moved out of here when this pit gets shut down.

Jesus Mother of fucking hell...

Cowboys - Bills game

jesus...

what the fuck....

how the FUCK did the Cowboys win that game

6 Tony Romo turnovers 6!!!

4 interceptions in the first half.......

Man, I wanted the Cowboys to win that game, but after that performance, they deserve to get a big fat L on their record. They did not deserve a win... at all..... I'm afraid that Bills fans are going to riot and set shit on fire and kill people after tonight.

Man it was so fun to watch. I'm not a huge Cowboys but I love Romo and Owens. Yea they definitely deserved the loss but uh NE undefeated vs Cowboys undefeated is much more exciting to be honest.

But yeah 5 interceptions

I'm only a temporary Cowboys fan because I had fucking Tomo Romo as my starting quaterback and Marion Barber as a RB.

Both did TERRIBLY, especially Romo who looked like was on roofies for the first 3 quarters.

Man, I was going to beat Jotuns and knock him out of 1st place with a great passing game from Romo but FUCK THAT the Bills decided to go from having the WORST defense in the entire NFL to dominating on Special Teams and looking like a Super-Bowl caliber defense.

Pretty damn late in posting this but I can't help not being busy with life... But anyway:

Week 5 Results:[/u]

Current Standings After Week 5:[/u]

Comments:[/u] Seems to be the typical average performance for me, as Tom Brady yet again excels with a blistering 23 points, while the rest of my players continue to underachieve (Steelers D pretty much saved me though). Wild game for the Cowboys though, Bills lose yet another heartbreaker by 1 point... What can I say... I feel bad for em'

But The Immortalz (3-2-0) cruises to a 54-39 win over the lowly Wireman (1-4-0), who could not build momentum on his first win of the reason after starting the season 0-3 and is now tied for last place in the league record-wise with TheEnlightened Posse (1-4-0), who is only behind by an 11 point margin differential.

Jotuns (5-0-0) continues his dominant performance into week 5, as he keeps his perfect record intact with a convincing 73-58 win over mediocre Board of Education (2-3-0), who had a letdown offensively with New England Wideout Wes Welker (0 points) and Dallas starting Quarterback Tony Romo, who had a tough outing with 5 interceptions and only 2 touchdown passes which ultimately led to his demise.

it gives you herpes (4-1-0) continues his surge to the top of the league standings with his 3rd consecutive win, a 50-33 triumph over the slumping Blades (2-3-0), who was once near the top but is now in the midst of a 2 game losing streak which now puts him below .500 for the first time all season.

Meanwhile, Fooseball Fiend (2-3-0) edged TheEnlightened Posse (2-3-0) 34-27 to surpass him temporarily in the league standings. This was a very low scoring game with both teams forgetting to start 2 players, which led to a very low scoring affair.

Week 7 Results[/u]

Current Standings after Week 7[/u]

Comments:
Board of Education (4-3) manages a convincing win of 71-38 over TheEnlightenedPossee (1-6) with the help of players like Wes Welker (18 points) and sleeper TE Kyle Brady (6 points).

Immortalz (5-2) showed no mercy against Fooseball Fiend (2-5), killing him 94-37. I guess a perfect 6-TD, 42 point game from Tom Brady might have helped him a little bit. Choosing to start an inactive and a couple of might-as-well-be-inactives also contributed to Fooseball Fiend's loss.

Despite not altering his schedule from the week before and starting the San Diego defense on their Bye week, it gives you herpes (5-2) managed to beat Wireman (1-6) without any trouble. A disappointing day from Marvin Harrison (0 points) and an in-game knee injury to the NFL rushing leader in yards from scrimmage, Ronnie Brown (4 points), contributed to Wireman's poor performance.

In the closest matchup of the week, Jotuns (7-0) just barely maintained his perfect record by slipping past Blades (3-4) in a 65-61 win. Despite big days for Clinton Portis (14 points) and Randy Moss (18 points), Jotuns answered with a spectacular Giants defense (22 points!) and a great game for Roethlisberger (20 points). Can anyone stop Jotuns from having a perfect season???

^Nice summary... Due to lack of time I can't always do it every week (which is why I couldn't do it for both Weeks 6 and 7).. I'll try to write one up for Week 8 though when things calm down a bit..

Someone's gotta take down Jotuns, he's the Patriots of this league damn't... I'll be sure to annihilate him when I come around to playing him the 2nd time around... I gotta gain some ground on him! I want that best regular season record crown for the 2nd consecutive year..

Goddammit.  I forgot to set up my team for today.  Defense is sitting this one out I guess.

fuck, despite having Tony Romo, Larry Johnson, Edgerrin James, Marion Barber, and Patrick Crayton on bye weeks, I'm doing decent this week. 3TD's between my WR's, 1 TD for my TE, 133 yards rushing for Lendale White. Some ridiculous number of points for the New England defense.....

But its never ENOUGH because HEY LETS MAKE FUN OF ASE AND HAVE TOM BRADY SCORE 50 FANTASY POINTS AGAIN

gahhhhhh

You're playing Wireman though so I don't think that will make a difference, I think this is like the only week you could afford doing that..

Haha I was about to say... but man you still might win cause' of the Patriots Defense dominating and garnering a ton of points (at least you didn't get the shut out)..

I got a few guys on the bye week too but they'd make less of an impact than your players that are off.. Brady is pretty much my ONLY CONSISTENT player on the team. Shaun Alexander, Reggie Bush continue to fucking suck for me so I dunno...

I'm really lucky to be 5-2 right now... Hopefully my other guys will get their acts together and actually perform how they are supposed to..

7-1 for me peoples. A couple key players on bye weeks and poor choices have destroyed my chance for a perfect season. Not that I expected one.

I can't believe FOOSEBALL FIEND of all people in the league beat you... I thought it'd either be me or Hundley... shit.

Well look out now man.. you were once way ahead of everyone but now both me and Hund are only a game back of you! You're fading!

Grunt, looks like not playing the defense made a difference after all... Lost to Wireman, wow... That was a low scoring affair.

And nice try ASE...   :fogetcry:

Will try to write up week 9's recaps either tomorrow or in 2 days... depends when I get some free time.

arfahgsd I feel like my schedule has been so TOUGH
6 out of the 8 weeks so far my opponents have scored 63 or more points
Everytime I feel like I have a decent team lined up, my opponent magically gets a WR who scores 25 points and ajsdkjf;k or the one week when my Player x is supposed to have a BLOWOUTGAME he scores negative points WHOOO

Week 8 Results:[/u]

Current Standings After Week 8:[/u]

Comments:[/u]

Not much else I can say for my team besides Brady being amazing and the rest shit... I still give them a chance week after week though... Anyway...

An unlikely candidate Fooseball Fiend (3-5-0) has knocked off the previously lone undefeated team, Jotuns (7-1-0) with a resounding 71-51 win that was possibly a statement game for Fooseball Fiend to get back into the hunt for a playoff berth. RB Brian Westbrook (16 points), WR Reggie Wayne (14 points), WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (10 points) and the legendary/still clutch performer QB Brett Favre (17 points) all contributed to this major upset of Jotuns, who is now only a game up on the 2 other surging teams.

The Immortalz (6-2-0) edged Board of Education (4-4-0) with a 79-66 victory, drawing The Immortalz closer to a playoff berth and just a game behind Jotuns. The clearcut league MVP thus far QB Tom Brady (33 points) and WR Hines Ward (16 points), who recently came back from injury were the major factors in deciding the victory for The Immortalz. Board of Education also has a lot of stake, with the playoffs looming closer and fighting a for a berth into the post season.

Meanwhile, it gives you herpes (6-2-0) routed the dead last TheEnlightened Posse (1-7-0) by a humiliating score of 92-45 to keep pace with the surging The Immortalz record wise but is still behind by a points differential.

Meanwhile, the lowly Wireman (3-5-0) triumphed over the slumping Blades (3-5-0) with a 36-29 victory that see's Blades hopes of making the post season getting ever so grim as the season is closing in on its end. This is his 2nd consecutive loss after a promising start to the season.

In Week 9, it is the battle of the titans with the undefeated New England Patriots (8-0-0) led by QB Tom Brady going head to head against the undefeated Indianapolis Colts (7-0-0) who is led by QB Peyton Manning. Tom Brady is featured within The Immortalz's roster, while Peyton Manning is featured within it gives you herpes's roster, where these two teams are also going head to head this week.

This matchup can potentially determine a new first place occupier, barring that Jotuns follows up with a second consecutive defeat that could potentially put him behind one of the two teams through points differential, while their record would be tied. Stay tuned...

Tight game between Pats and Colts last weekend... fun to watch and they could meet again in the AFC championship..

Not gonna bother doing a recap this week as the top spots for the league are essentially the same..

But no Tom Brady for me this week so I'll probably end up losing or coming close unless my guys play up to their potential... But I've lost faith in Alexander so I just benched em' for the rest of the season... Kevin Jones has a lot of potential in that Lions offensive system and Reggie Bush seems to be getting back to his usual form. Hopefully Hassellbeck can fill in nicely for starting QB this week for me.. he's played pretty well in recent weeks

Exciting game this week!

The Immortalz and the Jotuns go head to head in a grudge match of week 4 in order to determine who really deserves the number one spot. Week 4 was a rather disappointing match where neither team appeared to be top tier and the Jotuns won with a paltry 45 points.

The Immortalz boast a strong line-up lead by the astonishing Tom Brady and an always reliable T.O. The rest of the team appears pretty solid. A poor passing game by the Steelers is the only thing that could really shake the foundation.

The Jotuns, who've retained the number one spot all year, enter the game with two fresh running backs. The waiver wire has been good to the Jotuns thus far but can it really repair the nasty chink in their armor? With Frank Gore sucking it up and Marshawn Lynch battered up- the Jotuns are suffering in the running back department. On the plus side, the Jotuns boast enough reliable quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, and defenses that exploiting beneficial match-ups is an option every week. Which, I suspect, is how the Jotuns have been able to stay on top.

This game holds a great possibilty of being a preview of the Championship Game this year and, offers to the victor the right to be called number one! Stay tuned for the greatest game of the season!
