I beat my first opponent, Farah!

I must say, Farah could have gotten a lot more out of this match. It almost seems as if he forgot to castle, since he missed a few good opportunities to do so. It was simply impossible after a while.

Arguably, his first real mistake was 7... Ne5?, opening up the opportunity for me to take two pawns after exchanging knights. I also don't understand 13... h6 and some of the moves leading up to it. His position was very cramped at that time, and a rather significant offense was being built at the top left side of the board. He should be preventing me from taking the initiative at all costs. 14... Be6? is a mistake, as 15. Bc6 forces it back immediately. 16. Nc7 finally forces the king to move away, causing black to lose his ability to castle. 17. Bxe7 was originally intended to force black to exchange a rook for a bishop (17... Qxe7. 18. Qxb8+), but at this point Farah decided that since he was going to lose anyway, he might as well try to experiment. He used 17... Kg8?? instead, and lost his queen to 18. Bxd8. To make matters worse, instead of immediately taking back with 18... Rxd8, he decided to take a bishop instead with 18... Bxc6?. The last mistakes of the match would be 21... Bf8?, losing a knight, and 22... Bg7?, losing a rook.

I'm currently playing both of my games against r, and I'm royally kicking ass as usual. Actually, in my game as white, I think that I've got a better position than him. His queen is obscured, he hasn't castled yet and has less presence in the center. But we're still in the (slightly experimental since I don't know this continuation) opening phase, so I don't know!

Something interesting happened in my game as black. I took a pawn with my queen, right amidst three of his minor pieces. I made sure that he couldn't simply take my queen, but it's still sitting there now. I guess I'll have to move it away soon.

By the way, there still are no finished matches yet for Acid, ATARI, Killface, Man-O-War, Polygon and Nessiah_Equinox. I know that ATARI, Acid and Killface are active, but what about you other guys? Since this tournament will take some time, it's okay to wait a while, but you should get started at least!

Something seems to be badly wrong with the Little Golem server, which I'm sure everybody who's tried to use it recently has noticed. I'm getting page generation times of around 50 seconds now, and it doesn't seem to know who I am. The news page is completely empty. Looks like the owner has some data restoring to do.
