Unlike twelve/sean/hugo etc, Q has some tools he can actually use; a kara throw, good tick throwing into his command throw, good damage combos and juggles, safe surprise moves (slaps and dash), good air attacks (HP and HK), and so on. And also he has a throw where he crushes your face against his rock hard metal knee. Can't argue with that.

Yes he is. Know why? Cause nothing does any fucking damage on him by then. When playing against most characters it's almost to the point where you can break through their offense by sheer taking their fucking grabs and pokes because they don't do any fucking damage anyway.

Youtube is banned from the office so I can't find a vid for you, but youtube for "Kuroda Q" or somesuch, and you will know the power of the stomp taunt. You will not believe the shit he does with Q, it's mindblowing really. He is ranked S in Japan which is a godlike rank that almost no one has, and still he only uses Q.

FYI Q's moves are actually pretty good too, dash fish is 100% safe on block, fist slaps (qcb+P) are too, his command grab is great, SA2 combo's from damn near everything including his command grab in the corner, etc. And of course, he has the best move in the whole game: his taunt, which gives him 33% more life, up to three times per match. That's twice as much life with just three taunts per match which are pretty easy to do safely as well, and even if you can't do the safely, who cares if you get hit out of third taunt, worst case scenario your opponent wastes a super meter to remove the health you just got if even that, so you lose nothing on the whole tradeoff while the other guy wastes a super meter.

also yeah what the fuck, you can think this game looks pretty boring and not fall into some shapeless blob of GW HATES EVERYTHING UGH. in addition, any opinion from someone now is from a huge fan of the game anyways, you can't take it without a handful of salt. so yes, if you are not a HUGE BLIND FAN, you can hold the opinion that the game might suck.

Well, I for one am not a huge fan. I think that Street Fighter 2 is absolute garbage (sorry guys) and Street Fighter 3 I just could not get into because, well, I don't know if I just sucked or what but I was no good at it no matter what I tried.

The Alpha games were a blast though, I really liked them.. And SF4 reminds me of Alpha, which is why I guess I'm really looking forward to it.

I agree that SF4 isn't a HOLY SHIT AMAZING sort of game, but I think it'll definitely be fun to play and beat real life friends or net buddies up in. I'm much more excited about Tekken 6 though, but that probably won't be out until next year so.....

Defense is how resistant the character is to damage. So whenever he gets hit, 37.5% of the damage of each hit is negated.

Incredible match.

Abel was really cool in that video and overall I like the guy who played him more. He seemed to just... I don't know, work harder and was fun to watch. The Ken player seemed half-assed but put in a lot of damage.

The main thing I really like about this game is that they actually kept the camera in style with the original games. No big 3D floor to round around at, just go forward or backwards. That alone makes this feel like a Street Fighter game.
