my personal impressions about the game: after playing it for months and entering tournaments for it, i honestly think it's the best street fighter game ever made. actually, nevermind that, it's probably the best fighting game ever made. there's just something about sf4 that makes it so perfect. it still takes a lot to get good at the game, but this time around it's also very easy to pick up and have fun with. the casual crowd might actually stick around this time. this is a good thing because the fighting game genre deserves more players. i really dig the focus attack system too. i think it's a great way to bring parry-loving sf3 players back. and even though sagat is no doubt one of the more dominating characters (SO MUCH DAMAGE UGH), the character roster is actually very well balanced for the most part. expect every character to be viable for competitive play... except maybe dan?!

sf4 deserves nothing less than a 10/10. course, most game reviewers will probably give it something less because they don't understand fighting games and will probably penaltize the game for something stupid like LACK OF MODES.

consider yourself lucky to have access to the game at all. i highly encourage you to drive out to that arcade sometime and play it, if not with other people then at least by yourself. you'll have that much more of a winning edge and that much more knowledge about the game for when it actually comes out

i already preordered the PS3 collector's edition and i'll eventually get the PC version too but what version of sf4 is everyone here at GW planning to get?

sf4 comes out feb. 17th for PS3/360 in NA. the pc version's release date is TBA.

Thanks... Just saw that on IGN. I'm definitely gonna goto EBgames tomorrow to pre-order/reserve a copy of the premium edition of SF4 for the Xbox 360, since it comes with the anime movie as well. I've been a huge fan of the Street Fighter series since its debut of Street Fighter 2 for the SNES... And this definitely looks like its gonna kick some major ass. So to ensure I get the limited edition, I'm gonna book this tomorrow.

for those wondering, the collector's edition was said to include:

• a mini-strategy guide/hint book by prima
• a 65 minute anime produced by studio 4c
• a ryu (ps3)/c.viper (360) figurine
• the original sound track for the game
• additional downloadable content (capcom has not revealed what exactly, might be alternate costumes or something)
• oh yeah and the game

Pretty sure that I read that the DLC contains five bonus costumes.

Just trying to figure out what the price of this would be? In Canada particularly... Do you think Wal-mart or Ebgames or any other store would have the cheapest price for the limited edition?

For anyone wondering, this did not and is not happening since 1-UP was bought by UGO and laid off 30 people or some shit, including the people who do the video podcasts.

Wow I didn't know that there'll be a PC version. I'll probably get that, considering I'm still collecting money for PS3 @_@
