maaaan this is still one of hte ugliest fucking games ever to be paraded under the banner of "artistic style". shit.

PlayStation Qore did a report on Street Fighter IV. They found this underground "fight club" of SF fanatics who had a garage full of arcades. They had a SF4 arcade too.
Also they talked to DJ Q*Bert who did a scratch mix for one of the new games. Either SF4 or SF2HD (I forget which) Pretty cool stuff. This game looks kick ass.

That was the strangest opening I've ever seen. It's like it didn't even know what it was trying to be with all those different musical styles, etc.

Pretty neat show though, I enjoyed just watching them play even if some of them weren't too great at the game. My only complaint is that Ken and Ryu were selected too often and they didn't even choose Gen for whatever reason.

apparently it's the remixed/vocal version of the character select theme :p

not sure if anyone noticed, but there was another stream yesterday. it catered more towards the hardcore crowd, whereas the first stream was more of a sit-back-and-hang-out-with-all-your-friends-that-just-got-fired-from-their-jobs kind of thing. but yeah, it was really cool and there was a lot of good info shown this time around. they actually invited people from the shoryuken fighting game forums to play.

On top of this, we have new info for the DLC! There will be 1 new buyable alt costume for certain characters every week for 5 weeks til all characters have one! And then there is the announcement of Championship mode. Championship mode not only lets you download your replays and share them, but it adds tournament functionality to the game (and just like the normal Netplay, you can play with an AI character while you wait for your opponent to join!) that also saves the replays of all the best matches for the public to view! The costumes cost money, but Championship mode is a free update!

This showcases EVERY single English VA. And all of them except for like 4 are completely awful. You should watch this to laugh at how bad the VA's are. El Fuerte (the Mexican guy) is voiced by a French dude. Seriously!

This is an awesome Korea player kicking ass with Ryu. His opponents aren't as good as him, but you get to see what Ryu can do with all the new systems SF4 has like the Focus Attacks.

10 more days to go! #capcom is supporting the PC version for tournaments etc, and that doesn't come out for some odd months, so use them console versions to play with friends and get awesome for when the PC version drops.

Getting this on release and seriously can't wait. Been playing some Street Fighter Alpha III to brush up on my skills as I hadn't played a SF game in years.

There's a sweet launch party going down for this where a local gamestore has hired out a cinema at a local multiplex and they're gonna play it on that for a couple of hours and have competitions before selling it at midnight. They did it for Force Unleashed and Soul Calibur 4 and GTA and stuff, it's a pretty fun way to waste some time.

Also, about the voices..

I dunno, I don't think that the problem is that the voices are bad. I think that it's more along of the lines they say being bad.

"I cannot wait to taste your blood." What the fuck is that? Vega has a good voice, but that line is pretty damn weird.


The only voices that I think are just plain bad are those of Akuma (Saturday morning cartoon villain voice), Bison (I can't even understand what he's saying), and Sagat (trying way too hard). Dan's is pretty shitty for HIM, but the voice itself is decent.

And I don't care what anyone says at all. I love Seth's voice. It may not completely fit his look and character, but the voice itself is great.
