Lets start this on an awesome note here:
First off, my A+ certification instructor had a chat with me after I told him I didn't need to do the partitioning section. I told him I had already done partitioning before during a previous battle with DamnSmallLinux. I now know this to be a sucky ass Linux distribution. If you have a bad computer though its not a bad idea to try it out. Anyways... He talked to me about operating systems for awhile. I knew I was acting cocky but still. I couldn't help myself~ In any case, he took out some keys and I handed him an old laptop to put away. As he put it away he pulled out a box. He showed me it and told me about it afterwords, telling me I could have it for free. It was Suse Linux Professional 9.2. An older edition of Suse. None the less, it was free and I didn't have to make my own cds. So I took it not realising its true value until later that night when I got home and searched up offers for it on Amazon. A total value of 50$. I was amazed. Of course, this was because the A+ class wasn't technically part of the school and mostly not funded by it. In any case, I read up on installing Suse. It turns out that Suse was incredibly easy to install with the package I had. I did however, not want to take any risks. So after getting Suse I bode for time until I had a sufficient opening to search for a second HDD. After going down to the tech store and talking with the guy and asking him if he had any HDDs he replied, "Sure, I have a couple old ones." I said,"Anything will do I guess, as long as its over 2GB... How much for these two?" He then replied, "No cost, you can have them." I replied back, "Are you serious?!" He said, "Yeah, if you have any problems with them, just come talk to me." I almost left the store without getting an IDE cable as well, I asked if he had any of those. He did. He gave it to me for free as well! BEST FUCKING WEEK OF MY LIFE! I went home and installed the drive promptly. It worked perfectly! Awesome! It was only 10.2 GB but for my purposes thats fine. I installed Suse. Everything worked beautifully. Well except the sound card, which I later configured and fixed. This is exactly what I needed. After all of the stress life has been putting on me lately and my sudden increase in depression and anxiety this was simply awesome. I am having one issue though, something I pretty much expected...
WINE(A windows .EXE emulator so I can run all of my windows files) isn't working right because I'm missing a few files.
Here, look at this:
