So I'm considering getting a 360, but I'm a bit confused as of which version to get.

So the difference between the two, Elite and the normal version seem to be the hard drive. But is it really needed?

It seems to be the only addition to the Elite version (apart from the colour), so what I want to know is it really worth it? Do you people with the normal version feel you need a bigger hard drive or is the original fine?

Personally I'd only use it for the occasional demo or Live Arcade game. I don't know which one to get, because if the bigger hard drive isn't that useful, then the price jump seems a bit useless.

So what do you think?

A lot of my friends with them actually wish they got the Elite cause they are running out of room, it really depends though.

Do you:
*Plan on downloading a lot of Live Arcade games (there are SO MANY fucking good ones)
*Going to play a lot of games online with updates? (FPS's.....etc.)

if yes to either, go with the elite imho.

EDIT:
Oh yeah and apparentally specific Elite consoles labled with Go Big come with Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Forza Motorsport 2 for free this year for the holidays.

Live Arcade games don't take up much space at all. I've got over 35 of them right now and I'm still hovering around the 11GB mark with my regular model.

Elite is only really for the black color (which does look fucking awesome), the HDMI support and some extra HD space if you want to play games like Oblivion or Halo 3 that have a lot of shit to download for them and that take up a lot of space.

Ya. The only reason I keep ruinning out of space is because I download a lot of big demos then forget about them. If you keep clearing shit you don't need the original is fine (even with Oblivion).

So the patches for playing online (ie. Halo 3, Team Fortress 2 etc) won't be an issue if I get the normal 360?

They haven't been for me, so far. I still have over half the HD free with all my game patches, arcade games and a few demos I don't want to delete.

Wait, only the Elite has HDMI out?  That's strange.

The elite comes with HDMI1.2 Video cables, and only it does.

Otherwise you have to buy them seperately.
