The Japanese seem to like adding English letters onto the ends of game titles. I kinda like the sound of "Super Smash Bros. X" though.

Also, that commercial tripped my geek humor; Mario dropkicks Zelda and takes center stage, and his name pops up, and then the symbol for "Wa" comes down and knocks "Ma" away as Wario smashes him off the stage. Then Mario comes back again, his name pops up again, and boom, a pikmin smashes him out of the way, and the "O" and "Ma" swap places to spell Orimaa.

Funny stuff.
If no one went off on tangents, we'd keep going in circles.

I really liked this update, because I haven't been really interested in the latest Finals Smashes shown.
Olimar's is pretty interesting, both visually and gameplay wise. (I guess its guaranteed damage)
If a starter, he is definitely one of the first characters I want to try out.

Am I the only one who's completely missed the relevance of stickers to this game? IMO they'd be better represented as trading cards, or game cartridges or something in the collectible aspect, but as for this Subspace thing, I'd be much happier with equips or something.


Not that I'm complaining, but some parts of the game seem a bit overloaded. It's probly just because of the dojo.

Actually, I think it completely fits the game. There had been talk of stickers and
stuff from early on in development, and next to the coins, trophies and all that
jazz, these stickers don't seem so weird to me.

The only thing that surprises me is that they didn't put this in Melee.

And yeah. I don't think Sakurai wants us to ever tuch another game, ever again.

Yeah, now that the stikers actually have a purpose beyond being another collectible, this shouldn't be so bad.  Of course, I'm  still going to try and get good enough to beat the Subspace Emissary's toughest difficulty without sticker-steroids, but we'll see just how tough they make the game this time.  I know some modes of Melee are still just impossible to me (mmmph All-Star).

In my opinion if anything this adds another layer of depth that I never expected. It shows that the emassary might be more than just a longer version of Melee's adventure mode with alittle more story. This actually makes me even more excited about this mode. And besides this is an Nintendo game & since they've had a habit lately of making easier games I'm pretty sure that you'll probably be able to beat the emassary on the lower difficulties without using stickers.

If they announce that you can make emassary stages with the stage builder I will marry this game and have its children.

Stickers = Help Koma
Assist Trophy = Support Koma

Or at least they seem to work very similar.
(Also yeah thank god its only for story mode)

I thought about this too. Oh man, the similarities... The good thing though is that Brawl won't be as nearly as broken as JUS (imho lolz). JUS can get pretty messy with all of the supports running around.

Also, from everyone's "phew" response, I found this funny:

Shit yes, this is awesome! At first it was just okay news, but now it sounds great. I mean, I cannot wait to go through super hard mode with Fox completely pimped-the-fuck-out! Man, this is cool. Talk about customization! This is definitely a really interesting aspect. I never would've thought of it.

Also there totally should be mode where you can fight with your stickeder-up characters. Obviously it wouldn't be as popular, but it would kind-of relate to DBZ Budokai. General character templates, in this case more than general, with specific stats and such updated.
