Well the sixth one-hour compo just ended and it's up to you to decide who's the winner!

The theme was ice age/space/vikings, by the way.

ase - i feel you didnt really get the theme, which is ok as its very difficult...... or maybe its just because i saw your quote in drules post and now cant picture vikings at all. oh well!
dom - its the best
drule - this is totally the lost vikings 2 ice level
sion - its good but its most space egyptians in the ice age, but apparently you didnt try to follow a theme so its cool
untitled - its very grog but i think its a bit too much space and not enough viking. its definitely ice age though so also good!

Bleh, realized FL was distorting all of the samples AFTER I made the song...which sucks because if you listen to mine the drums sound really low pitch and drawn out (no idea why FL does this!) so I tried to work around it.

There's the fixed version of my submission, sounds a lot better than the one I submitted. I didn't add anything, just cleaned it up--it's a lot closer to what I had in my head when I started.

Oh shit I missed the contest

Also I'm not badass enough to vote for dom's tune so I voted for Drule

Untitled's is good but it ends WAY TOO SOON

But yeah Drule's makes me imagine this fucking epic Eskimo RPG for the NES where you fight penguins and build up until you're strong enough to fight mammoths and polar bears and shit and HOW WAS THIS GAME NEVER MADE IT WOULD'VE BEEN AWESOME

I couldn't hear doms because it's .ogg so I am voting for drules UNOFFICIALLY. If there isn't a .mp3 version of dom's up tomorrow then i will actually vote drule for sure.

ASE - Man I am really diggin this, was just getting into it and it stopped. I assume you ran out of time as I did with my entry to the first compo but YEAH I know you are not familiar with this electro shit and this is totally rad.

dom - This is the most valuable 4.3something MB on my PC.

Drule - This had some nice game sounds to it and it kind of reminded me of an old tune from FFA on the gameboy but other than that it didn't really do anything for me I'm afraid. Production was pretty good for the time you had but composition seemed pretty standard and the ending kind of blew it for me.

Sion - I quite liked the composition of the lead instruments and stuff but your drums are kind of killing my ears. I realise I am giving out EXCELLENT CRITS here for a one hour compo but man I didn't really enjoy this, sorry.

Unt - This is pretty pleasurable to the ears, especially when it all kicks in but it is way too short.

It's a toss up between ASE and Unt for me right now and I think it's going to have to be ASE. Not just for creating something pleasurable to the ears but also MOST IMPROVED musician since the last time I heard them award.

edit: sorry not MOST IMPROVED MUSICIAN, you were always a capable musician but in unfamiliar style/software that is very impressive.

Yeah, I agree about the drums sounding like complete dukey, I didn't have time to fix the pitch because I ran out of time. (Check the newer one I posted, although that shouldn't dictate a vote at all because it was done after the deadline!)
