I've been meaning to make this topic for the longest time, but it kept slipping my mind. Anyway, it just popped up again, so here we go.

We've all watched a movie where we weren't really happy with the actor choices for whatever roles. I don't know, maybe you didn't like Jack Nicholson in The Departed. Maybe you would have liked to see Al Pacino instead? Basically, what I'm asking is... Have you ever thought that the casting office could have chosen better actors or actresses for certain roles? Who would you rather see play these roles?

For me, Keanu Reeves in The Matrix. I read that Will Smith was the original choice, and I think he would've been a bit more interesting to watch. At least he's a bit less stale.

I would never have picked Toby Maguire to be Spider-Man. I heard Jake Gyllenhall was also cast for the role but lost it to Maguire, but I think he would have been a much better Spider-Man.

God, those movies are terrible.

Ashton Kutcher in Butterfly Effect. Excellent film! EXCELLENT! Don't get me wrong, he's pretty good at the ol' acting, I just can't take him seriously after The 70's Show.

Everyone in Saw. I'd replace them with people who could act.

Bwah, bwah, bwah! Saw had Cary Elwes!

I need to think about this topic. I know there has been films where I've thought "what if it was that guy instead?" but rarely have I felt that someone was really, really miscast.

Will Smith in the Matrix would be so mind-blowingly cool. However, Keanu Reeves is pretty good.

Anyone else as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars Episodes II and III (also probably in Episode I too). Hayden Christensen was patently bad, and ruined those films for me. Jake Lloyd was just annoying.

They would both be improvements, seriously.
