Simple question for y'all. Has anyone used the Xbox media remote thing? If so, does it act just like a controller? I mean, does it actually function outside of the DVD player? I'm thinking about getting one 'cause my Xbox is basically just my Xvid player now and I need to know if I'll be able to control my mod's dashboard with it.

I'm talking about the Xbox 1, remember that old thing?

Yea, but it's pointless now. Why waste $20? I modded my xbox 1, only took about 2 hours. Plays any DVD's without the remote, emulates; NES/SNES/Sega/Mamex/N64/PS1/Atari/plus some other oddities. Still using the original Harddrive that came with it though, so I don't have much room(still managed to fit around 100NES games/1600 SNES/couple hundred Sega/ and one xbox game(Star Wars Battle Front 2). Not sure about the legalities so I wont provide any links, but I used whats called the "hot swap" method where no mod chip or anything is needed(free, but kinda hard to do).

Hahaha! 2 hours!? Took me less than 5 minutes.

I want the remote so I can watch my Xvids n' stuff without having to untangle my Xbox pad every time.

Well I had issues with my motherboard, took me that long to figure out what the problem was.
