I would love to see this kind of thing implemented on the GameFAQs boards as 80% of their users don't even meet the base requirements for a human, let alone an intelligent one (not that I'm on their boards, but I do read some topics when looking for guides and other stuff).

srsly tho, anyone who actually gets annoyed by this kind of thing on forums or the internet are either too into themselves, or need to take a break from the computer.  Obviously there are exceptions, like if its done excessively or racism, things like that, but thats what moderators are for.  If it's done in moderation on the other hand...

Its called tolerance.  Have some.

Yeah I agree.  But the problem really is insurmountable.  Dealing with it is simply inevitable.   I think having a filter like this is nothing short of unnecessary censorship.  If something really needs to be censored, like I said, that is what community moderators are for.

As far as the tolerance thing goes, I really direct that towards the 4chan stuff or things like "srsly thr shld rly be moar filtrs on deez intrnts".  If you let it get to you, yeah its annoying.  But again, insurmountable, it really is easier just to go with it, or ignore it.

I would be all in favor of a racism filter however.
