How do you know it was a satellite?  How do you know it wasn't God winking at you?

On a serious note, I nearly pissed my pants when I first saw the Aurora Borealis.  Seeing it up close and personally is a pretty trippy experience and I'm surprised countries like Iceland and Greenland don't have a huge population of hippies who just sit around and toke on their joints 24/7.

I smell a sitcom!  :fogetcrazy:

You can see some satellites when it's dark outside.  Those dim lights that are moving across the sky really fast are probably artificial satellites.

I was in Florida one time and we went to Cape Canaveral and found out that there was going to be a launch the next day.  The next morning, while we were camping pretty close to the center, it launched and shook everything, and then exploded.  It was pretty amazing.

Yeah, during night I've seen dim lights moving across the sky that couldn't really be anything else than artificial satellites. Pretty cool though.

edit:

Or what do I know?  :gwa:

Is it our duty to die for governments and for gods?
Is it our privilege to slave for market and for industry?
Is it our right to follow laws, set to scare and to oppress?
Is it a gift to stay in line and will it take away the blame?
