hey guys i've been outta the loop and everything for a while with school and what not, so i was hopin you could help me out. my brokeass cant afford a ps3, but nows the time when all the good ps2 games come out, and with christmas i kinda have some extra cash. so. can everyone list their fav rpg's from 2007 and recommend me some good titles to pick up for PS2?

RPGs that came out on the PS2 in 2007 (and are actually good)... I can only think of Rogue Galaxy. I don't want to count Odin Sphere as an RPG but that came out as well.

I know those all didn't come out in '07, but they're solid regardless.

You are joking right? I guess compared to most others this year then...

I've honestly never played it. The last PS2 game I bought was Persona 3...

Which did come out in 2007. Wild Arms V also came out this year. I bought it but I haven't even unwrapped the plastic yet.

I hear Rogue Galaxy is pretty bad myself, but I've never played it myself, so I can't say from experience.

Rogue Galaxy is quite honestly the worst RPG I have ever played.

OK it isn't, it's slightly better than F.A.T.A.L.

I saw a trailer for Rogue Galaxy on my PSP, honestly it didnt "look" bad. Infact it looked awesome, and I was considering ~~torrenting~~ buying it, but this makes me think.

i already have rogue galaxy, i kinda like it but i haven't beat it yet. im stuck on one part of it. my friend has odin sphere, so i think im gunna barrow that from him. i havnt even heard of persona 3

so i'll hafta check it out, but you know, i was never really into the wild arms series. Xenosaga is horrible. i'll never play another one of those games.

I beat suikoden 4 and that game kinda turned me off to the series. what about upcoming titles as well?

I implore you to not let Suikoden 4 detract you from playing the other ones. Even among Suikoden fans, the 4th one is considered one of the worst RPG's of all time. But the series itself is very solid, especially the 2nd and the 5th one, which are considered some of the best titles in RPG history. Give Suikoden another shot.

Rouge Galaxy was fun but the storyline was absolute shit. =\
If you don't mind an extra 8 liters of cheese with your rpgs its pretty fun.

Persona 3 isn't as good as the second one (which was better than the first title... and better than the alternate story which was only released in Japan) but it was pretty decent. Good luck finding it because Atlus always releases their titles in stupidly low quantities.
