No, you are confusing a different plot with a different character. We've seen every emotion Smith can do on fresh prince of bel air. He is a really good actor but we've seen absolutely everything he can do.
also he does far too many shower scenes now. it's like yes, i get it, you're really fit for a 50 year old or whatever, now put some clothes on and play some golf
will smith is WILL FUCKING SMITH so yeah to a pretty large extent i agree but if you really think the characters he played in i am legend or pursuit of happyness are identical or even especially similar to the ones he played in like MEN IN BLACK or fresh prince or whatever you are dumb as a brick, dude. it's just a BAD STATEMENT so 1) you making it to begin with, and 2) whatever his name is these days coming in and going YES THIS (WILL YOU RECORD A SASSY REVIEW OF HIS ACTING ABILITIES IN A BRITISH ACCENT PLEASE) is pretty humorous to me. what you're essentially saying is that will smith has, in the past fifteen or so years, managed to display his full range of emotional capabilities as an actor. alright, who isn't this true of? here's a hint: it's not very many people. you might as well just say "will smith is not one of the top actors of his generation who continues to surprise us with the roles he can deftly play," which should be kind of a given. on one hand he has spent most of his career effectively playing a very very similar role over and over again, but on the other hand what you said is dumb and wrong, and this trend hasn't even really held true as much as it has in the past in his most recent movies (ps this hancock shit doesn't look that excessively will smithish to begin with so ya) so i feel like i'm a bit torn here between berating you and handsome lamb (lol) and being inclined to agree.
