Basically, if you haven't got one already, this might be the one you should buy:

Also included in the Ultimate, according to Stuff? A 320GB hard drive and HD-DVD drive. While we have our doubts about the authenticity of the details, the news seems a bit too matter of fact to ring false. Is someone at Stuff simply letting the cat out of the bag early? Perhaps we'll know more this Sunday, when we report directly from CES '08.

Of course this is just another rumour, but it seems believable, considering some of this stuff should've made it into the Elite.

Silent fan and built in wifi? I like the sound of that a lot. If it where real, I'd be right on it... if it wasn't for the fact that I just bought a new 360 from ebay.

I think you should highlight the new 320g hd (formerly 20g wtf) and the hd-dvd capacity drive. Those additions are huge (though the hd-dvd addition much more so)!

man they should give free (or price difference) upgrades on current ones, i dont want a noisy one if newer customers get silent ones

All that doesn't mean a drop of diarhea (sp) to me if it means it costs anything more than 300$. Which would be insanely low based on that description. I can't bring myself to spend more than that on any system.

Is this how consoles are going to be in the near future? There are no more new generations, just the same system with better specs?

I don't know why Microsoft added an HD-DVD drive, other than to just say that the 360 has an HD-DVD drive. I know they have talked about the HD-DVD add on for the previous 360s, but they better make it dirt cheap if they intend on releasing games on HD-DVD. Otherwise they could alienate a lot of owners.

No, I'm comparing system to system. They're basically making a 360 with all of the functionality the PS3 has and also making it more reliable... like the PS3. They shouldn't put HD-DVD in it though.

pfff. if this is true then it's pretty fucking lame.

i got one of these things and yes i've had a good time with such famous hits as Half Life 2 and Bioshock but i've always felt a little sleazy for getting one in the first place. this just makes me feel even more duped.

there's absolutely no chance i'm spending money on this business!

Fuck, I just got a 360 for Christmas, and I need built in Wi-Fi.

Though to be fair, I'm sure the price difference isn't the same as the cost for a wi-fi adapter (especially since I don't plan on getting the Microsoft one)

Wow, this is actually pretty great timing for me. I was just about to pick up a 360 when I got my paycheck next week, but now I can wait and see how this pans out. I just hope that if this is the case, the system comes out SOON. I want to play Mass Effect yesterday.

I just wanna play some Lost Odyssey on a working system... I played the Japanese version. Great game, I would enjoy it more if it where in english though lol.
