Microsoft Xbox360 Video problems. (Read 588 times)

Ok so i have the new media update download and all. This is the story.
My friend has XP media center and he was having problems with the media center thing in the media blade on 360, so he went the regular way by allowing the sharing via WMP.

He moved his Torrent videos into his video folder and they work now, Problem is with me.

I don't have media center but i do have torrented videos (some identical torrents as he has.) and i put my videos into my videos folder but they will not run on my 360?


So is it Media center thats making his work?  How do I get around that to watch movies and such on mine.

Is there some sort of "FREE" converter that i can use or do i even need to convert?

Oh and yes i have my 360 set to allow on WMP aswell. pictures music and like 3 video clips i have work just not the movies.

Please help :(

If you both have the same files and his are working without him having to convert them, you shouldn't have to either. Do you have WMP11? You shouldn't need media center to send videos to your 360 if so.

Well problem solved...


I just updated my codecs (Klite media codec pack)  and now it works :/
