I'm just wondering if there are any good RPGs for the Wii. I don't know of any of the top of my head nor have I really heard of any coming out.

Super Paper Mario, though it's not really a traditional RPG.

Oh, and Fire Emblem.

And Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

Baroque, Opoona & Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk are coming out sooner or later too (I think Baroque is coming out pretty soon actually).

Yeah, I beat Super Paper Mario. I wish they would've done it more like the first.

I don't think there really are any.  The Wii iteration of Fire Emblem is the best Fire Emblem I have played, but I have not played many of them.  It's a pretty solid game if you are into the series, but keep in mind that the graphics betray that the game was definitely a Gamecube release ported at the 11th hour.

Some more RPGs that are coming out that I just remembered (actually I was in a hurry before)...
Oboro Muramasa Youtouden - I don't know how I forgot this game since it's near the top of my anticipation list. It's from the same guy who made Odin Sphere which it shares a very similar style with (most people are calling it Odin Sphere 2).

King Story - I don't know much about this game except that it's a "simulation RPG" whatever the heck that is.

Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon - Another one of those mysterious dungeon games.

Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors - From what I've seen it's more of an on-rails "slasher". I'm hopeing that it's more of a RPG than I'm expecting.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers & The Little King - 2 different CC games, 1 is a Wiiware title (Little King) which I'm slightly interested in & the other is on rocky ground (Crystal Bearers) I heard.

If King Story is the one I'm thinking of, it's something like Harvest Moon / Legend of the River King, with a bit of populous thrown in. It sounds very awesome. Also, Yoko Shimomura. Hooray!

You could try Code Lyoko. It's not bad at all.

Most potential RPG's for wii are not yet released though, so it might keep you busy for
some time until they are. Remember you could always play Gamecube games you didn't
play before. Baten Kaitos was rather good.
The only thing dumber than an argument on the Internet is the same argument in real life.

Unfortunately, that offers a grand total of like 5-10 options or something like that, and even then, if someone happens not to like particular styles of RPG (like the Tales series in my case), the options are narrowed down even further.  Also, it's so incredibly lame that I have to use a Gamecube memory card and a Gamecube controller instead of the Wii classic controller and its internal memory that I would have a hard time recommending to anyone that they go back and play Gamecube games that they had missed.

Speaking of Legend of the River King, is the Wii version of that going to come to the US?  Apparently the DS has been (or will be or something I can't find any info on these games release-wise) translated into English, and this would be awesome to play.  I had the gameboy version way back when and I had almost forgotten about it, but it would kick ass to play the Wii version.

still awaiting on a Wii RPG maker game from Enterbrain. I know it can be done and except for doing dialogue, the controls would suit perfectly for everything else a RPGmaker can do.

Dialogue shouldn't be too tough, since the Wii has supported USB keyboards in recent firmwares. At least in the Channels, but I'm pretty sure if it supports it in the channels, games should be able to use it too.

Still, I'm not sure I'd like a Wii RPG Maker as much as I'd like an XNA-style homebrew suite for WiiWare.

jrpgs? And not looking for 'next-generation' per sey, but really looking for good quality gameplay that some game companies haven't been able to manage lately, and some homebrewed stuff has.

jrpgs?

Japanese RPGs (such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest), as opposed to Computer/Western RPGs (such as Baldur's Gate and Diablo).

I wouldn't consider "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" an RPG anymore than I would "Knights of the Round".

Although info on the game is still pretty early going (though there is an official site with some nice music in the game playing as well as some artwork and a few gameplay shots) Fragile is another RPG you might want to keep an eye out for.
