IMO it shouldn't take so long to make the PC version since they make the games on PCs. It should be released at the same time, they're probably doing it console only first to milk it as much as possible before the PC release.
angry black man, thats very sad to hear... yet I almost saw it coming. What next gen games WON'T have to be graphically toned down to fit the wii (that aren't coming out on just the wii)?
I hate to point this out, but your PC, unless you're using an old Mac, uses a CPU based on Intel's x86 architecture.
All of the current consoles (Wii, 360 and PS3), are based on IBM's PowerPC architecture, which is a bit different.
Porting games between a Windows PC and the 360 should be easier as the 360 is running an enhanced version of the Xbox OS, which was just Windows 2000 with loads of crap cut out of it.
Also, as already stated, console games are designed for console OS's and firmware, which may differ greatly from PC equivalents.
360 developers were given Apple PowerMac systems with a different OS to begin with, but then Microsoft started offering an actual 360 dev unit, which benefited from not being utter crap at running 360 games (the 360 as a 3.2Ghz tri-core PowerPC CPU, while the PowerMac didn't, and it didn't run at 3.2Ghz either, it only reached 2.7Ghz).
