i have one..
its called Aparagios or something

Basically im a FF user 100% but whenever i have FF open in the last 2 days, IE popups will appear. i did a spybot, adaware, nod32 full scan and nothing, it got rid of some small "trackers" but didnt solve my problem. Basically i want to know how to fix this as reinstalling Windows isnt an option... (500gb hard drive filled with sentimental images and videos that i cant lose, plus other things)
I would also like to know how to completely REMOVE IE as i dont use it and never will have too :/

tell me what you need in order to fix this (logs/etc) and i will try to get them for you i just really want this fixed...

You can reinstall without losing any of your existing files on your hard drive, just choose to not format it during setup.

To remove IE you can untick the box for it in "Add/Remove Windows Components" in "Add or Remove Programs", found in the control panel.

Removing Internet Explorer used to be possible (not sure if it still is), but as it is an integral part of Windows, it requires a hack. It also might mess things up.

Quote from: 'From the Wikipedia page
Removing Internet Explorer does have a number of consequences. Some applications that depend on libraries installed by IE may fail to function' date=' or have unexpected behaviors. Intuit's Quicken is a typical example, which depends heavily upon the HTML rendering components installed by the browser. The Windows help and support system will also not function due to the heavy reliance on HTML help files and components of IE. In versions of Windows before Vista, it is also not possible to run Microsoft's Windows Update or Microsoft Update with any other browser due to the service's implementation of an ActiveX control, which no other browser supports. In Windows Vista, Windows Update is implemented as a Control Panel applet.

Of course, it won't let your old installation work if you're installing over it.
