It was one of the first as I saw it on G4-TV (was Tech-tv I think about 3 or 4 years ago), but only saw it in pieces; I watched it in japanese with subtitles later when my friend downloaded the series for me.

I hadn't posted this anywhere before, but I'd like to know what others thought of Read or Die: The TV (not the OVA).

It's the first legitimate anime that I watched (probably about 3...4 years ago) all the way from beginning to end. As a composer I was blown away by the soundtrack at the time (I hadn't really been into anime up until that point). The series ending was kind of....yeah....but as for the first 1-18 episodes I found it to be really amazing; not only in the musical department but in the visual as well as the story (at least up until a point).

Now I've seen about...10 or 20 more anime series, watched a bunch through such as Mai-Hime, Naruto, Bleach, etc... and going back feels like stretching quite far from these others....

Not many people I've chatted with online that watch anime have actually seen this one, if you HAVE seen any part of it what are you thoguhts on the series?

I saw it all on G4. It was really good. The whole idea of the paper based attacks was creaitive.

I saw it and really enjoyed it... but then the characters changed and it was about these boring kids with the paper powers and it was so tiresome, I stopped watching.
Hmm it seems that I watched the ova first. Oh wellz.
