Here is my late entry to the Iron Chef GW competition. Unfortunately, I had completed the food on time but I had a big messup with my camera reader and couldn't get it for awhile. I finally just got these .. and christmas and a ton of other pics off the card so enjoy :)

I will not be putting my entry into voting but I thought it would be fun to make a topic anyways.

WHAT WE MAKING MAN
Our Appetizer: Winter Carrot Salad
Our main course: Carrot Stuffed Pork Tenderloin with Rice
Dessert: Carrot Cake Balls
The dinner was cooked by myself and my girlfriend Miranda, she did a lot of the cooking/cutting as I was snapping pics away. I did some work but she is evil in the kitchen and pushes herself to do most of the work!

OK LETS DO THIS
here we have most of the ingredient we are going to be using. not pictured: a lot of shit I forgot to put in this picture and general spices

first up, we got dessert as you have to let these bad boys cool down while you do other things. i am a gluten-free and dairy-free fag because that shit makes me sick so these ball are a bit different then your regular ones
- brown sugar, margarine, shredded carrots, molasses, eggs and some flour (in my case some rice + tapioca flour)

so lets start off nice and healthy: a big scoop of margarine and margarine:

PUREE THAT (that is my apron and it is awesome)

we will need a ton of carrots heres some nice big ones:

SHRED THEM UP (this is mainly for the dessert but it was used as a garnish for other things)

put it all together and you get this nasty looking thing:

 :blarg:

eventually we add some flour and form little balls:

PUT YOUR DESSERT IN THE OVEN NOW WE READY FOR SOMETHING ELSE
while that is cooking, time to make the main course. let's chop a ton of potatoes and carrots

put them in a pot (cold water not boiling) and get them going until they are soft

bonus shot: SEXY ARMS failing at cutting cucumber

back to our dessert: balls are done (only gotta be in there for like 15 minutes) and looking good. They look a bit flaky because that is the joy of gluten-free baking but they were very moist/good inside!!

ok let's get some rice ready. basmati rice with some onion and carrot stock kind of thing. cook that on a low simmer stirring occasionally

our carrots and potatoe stuffing is done. PUREE IT

add some onions and other spices to our stuffing as right now it tastes kind of weird

MOVING ONTO THE MEAT: butterfly and hammer that meat down flat so it's rollable

oh god

take our stuffing and lay it all over that meat. looks gross!

roll it up, use toothpicks to keep it in place (or rope if you got it) and toss it in the oven for like 30 minutes at 350 or the usual tempature you do for meat

the salad was simple and didn't require much. simply slicing up carrots and cucumbers and making our own balsamic vinegeratte dressing. add in some roasted pumpkin seeds which add a very nice flavour to the salad and you got yourself something nice

OK THE FINISHED PRODUCTS !!

Here are the finished results. Our Carrot Winter Salad:

The main course. Pork Stuffed with Carrots/Potatoes on top of some Rice and some quick pan fried Zuchinni

The Dessert. Someone likes chocolate a little too much ! (typical woman)

Bonus: Carrot/Apple sorbet I made while other things were cooking and we were waiting :)
Just add some pureed carrots, some apple sauce, mix to taste. Add a hint of white sugar. Toss in freezer, mix every 10-15 minutes for about an hour and it's ready.

Ok that is it for me .. Hope you enjoyed my entry and I will post a voting topic shortly!

Bart, your arms are much more slender than I remember them.  Did you drop some weight?  Lookin' good mate!

BTW, that looks delicious and extremely professional.
