Well the first round of Iron Chef GW has been completed. Please check out all the topics and vote who you think looks best in terms of taste factor (HMM HOW TO DECIDE ON INTERNET) and presentation.

The winner will be in charge of the second round, picking the ingredient and all that jazz.

it was a tie between Wash Cycle's excellent presentation and fritters and that absolutely wonderful souffle Lifeexplosion made (which is just really something, even if it did fall apart), but I didn't like how his cheesecake looked at all and Wash Cycle used several of the ideas I was going to use if I had time or a blender, so he gets my vote.

also Bart you said you weren't in the running??

Wash Cycle's was the best overall. Everyone was pretty amazing though! Most of the foods look really delicious.

And I really want to participate next time. So I hope there will be one.

edit: the reason i voted for wash cycle is because he had MUSIC IN HIS THREAD (how amazing is that)

I think I'ma vote for WC, too. I really liked Lifexplosion's souffle, and as for Silhouette, I'm not really a fan of anemic soups, sorry

I need to give some credit to Lifexplosion, even if I would not eat his carrot cheesecake pizza! If he would've done something more simple for dessert, my vote would probably have gone to him instead of WC

i know i'm not supposed to, but i ended up voting for bart. i thought that his carrot-stuffed pork tenderloin and winter carrot salad were generally more interesting ways to use carrots than the shredded carrot salad/soup that we saw from the others, though it was kind of a close call anyway because lifexplosion's souffle looked really cool and was a pretty good idea, and his soup SOUNDED good but didn't look so hot (same with the cheesecake), and wc had really strong presentation, but on the whole i didn't really find the ideas of the dishes that appealing in concept. a lot of it had to do with camera quality, though. the lighting and dishing on bart's dishes were really good, and had all things been equal in that respect, i would've voted for lifexplosion probably, if he'd left the carrots off the cheesecake and found a way to make the soup look better.

wash cycle's stuff was really flawless, like down to lighting of the shots and stuff. there was not a single thing in his dish that i would not be keen to eat!

together the whole thing looked like it wouldn't be overwhelmingly carroty and i am just amazed at how much effort he put into this. everyone elses were really good too, WC's was just ridiculous

okay well it is like 20 minutes to midnight on saturday

when do I get to pick what the next ingredient is... cause I kinda want to do mine on monday or maybe the next monday I dont know but mondays are good.

wash cycle only won because of the background music imo. but i voted for bart, his food seemed the best. it was all filling and had shit i would enjoy eating (read: meat). g'job guy.
