I really need help finding the title of a movie / cartoon that I remember seeing a child.

I don't remember much about it but there was a Giant in it, and a child. The child for some reason went into a field to find a flower and the giant learned that there was a storm coming through, so he ran after the child to save him.

The storm passed and the giant fell, and in his hand there was  a flower sticking up. His fingers slowly pushed open and the child came out.

I believe I remember someone telling the child (who cried) that it was the way things should be and that the giant was just sleeping.

If you know the name of this movie pleeeeeease help me.

The whole GIANT/BOY/FLOWER thing made me think of "The Iron Giant" though I don't think that's what you're after. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbRNDdZKmRo

Haha hundley.

No, Bunnymilk, that's not it. The movie is much much older. And I remember the giant being of human form. I remember it having fingernails on the hand that gets pushed open.

Hey, we should just keep this as a general "I need help remembering an old movie/tv show" topic.

You're welcome!

Personally, I loved that episode of Care Bears.  Second only to the Trouble with Tribbles spoof they did on "Care Trek".

Didn't we have one of these?

Anywho, I have a tough one (mostly because I watched it when I was really young and barely remember anything about it).

It was a cartoon movie, released sometime before 1987.  I barely remember what it was about, but I do remember it being scary.  Some sort of evil villain (possibly aliens) were attacking the populace and changing people into blocks or cubes (or tetris like piece).  They were being made into a wall (or something).  The protagonist had to travel to the end of the world to save everyone.

It had a dark tone and menacing ...feel... - that's the best I can describe it.

Did it look like it was from the 60's or 70's, and did it not have any voice-acting (I don't remember any voice-acting)? If so, we might be looking for the same movie. And after several minutes of searching I finally found it.

Hopefully this is also the movie you were looking for (maybe not)?

That's pretty cool, but unfortunately no.  It was done in more traditional animation style...  similar to The Last Unicorn, or maybe a dark version of Teddy Ruxpin...if that makes any sense.

I just remember the colours being grey, and non-vibrant.
