Tales of Innocence as released in japan on the nintendo a couple of months ago and it looks great. It has some awsome graphics, on par with tales of the world radient mytholigy on the psp. The game's battle system looks familiar, but its far diffrent. Getting the idea from Tales of the Abyss, This is a Free roaming motion battle system. Now you can run freely anytime in battle which could make it easier to manuver around the feild and dodge the enemies. Another useful thing is the hp bars over enemies heads, which could help if you just wanna know when the hell that monster is dead! I for one am getting this when it comes out for america....if it comes out though. The previous DS tales game, Tales of the Tempest only came out in Japan so it could leavle some to think wether it will come here or not.

Gameplay Screenies:

Battle system is looking good! The enemies, though recycled from Tales of the Abyss are looking great on the DS.

Another highlight is combat in the air, which seems pretty sweet. Using demon fang in the air FTW :3

Giant monsters in a tales game? DUH!

Overlimit will be involved, but my only complaint is how the character looks when in overlimit. Squiggly lines around the character make me wanna throw up :blarg:

Lloyd ripoff anyone?? X3

I'ven't heard of this game before and I can't say I'm a fan of the Tales series, but I'll check this out if it ever gets released in English.
Also I thought you were gone forever its nice to see you making topics again.

Is this a DS game or something because the 3D looks horrendous.

According to an article I read, they kick around (and trademarked) 4 names until the chose one and stick with it... and trust me... it gets worse.

At some point... Tales of the Tempest was going to be called TALES OF DOOM SIGN.

Its got its ups and downs, while I'm not a huge DS fan, the battle system which is from Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Destiny R, which is a pretty good combination, but I bet it makes battles incredibly easy in the game, so yeah, I'm mixed with this one, I'll probably play it like Legendia and never play it in a long time.

I'm waiting for the day when they run out of words and just make Tales of Tales.

I have Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Legendia sitting on my desk that I bought 2 years ago...

The plastic is still on them.

marcus maybe you want to give them to me for free

i promise i will at least try them...

Tales of Eternia aka Tales of Destiny 2 is pretty much the only great game in the series. Tales of Phantasia was pretty good and I could survive through Tales of Destiny (maybe because I was younger) but the series has been going downhill ever since those games. For some weird reason, a loto f people seem to like Tales of Symphonia even though I think it's as average as a jrpg can get. And I was looking forward to it so much. :(

This looks...really bad. They're milking the Tales series for all its worth, and it's starting to show. They could have salvaged themselves in my eyes if they released the Tales of Destiny remake in the US, but that didn't happen either. As far as I'm concerned, the Tales series ended a while ago.

I thought story wise Eternia, Destiny and Abyss(Being the best in story) were the only good ones (Thats usually only what I go for in a RPG), and the rest were awful. Symphonia's story line was cliche and as terrible as Legend of Legaia II imo.

Having said that, I think that this addition will just be jrpg fodder.
