Not sure if this the right topic of discussion, if not...I apologize...

Hummm...the other day I was watching TSN, which if none of you know is a sports station...I'm one of those guys who basically watch it 24/7, whenever you see me...it's always sports sports and...SPORTS!!! Doesn't matter if it's hockey, baseball or football...me love!!!

However my brother thinks of that is gay...stunned I thought "don't people who watch sports all the time be considered...jocks? cool people?"

That's where I'm putting my theory to the ultimate test!

I used to watch anime a lot and other gayer shows back in the days...well before 2001 when I became a major fan of the sport networks...

SO which is more gayer? Watching anime or sports?

Now...they are both considered a bit nerdy...bunch of imaginary pictures talking and fighting each other, VS a group of guys touching each other...

But I say anime! What's your call!

The fact that you are attributing a synonym of homosexuality to the viewing of television shows tells me that you either

A) are homophobic
B) are 14
C) have incredibly low self-esteem and no individuality if you must ask a forum to rank shows for you

I don't know, why don't you ask what a homosexual person likes to watch and then you compare the results with what you watch? But I do think watching sports on TV is pretty stupid, specially if it's UFC or golf.

I like watching anime, I hate watching sports. Except wrestling because it's hillariously bad.

Oh please, this shit again. Guys...words have multiple meanings. Unless every time I say something's cool I mean it's cold...which I'm pretty sure I don't. I have two gay friends and neither of them mind when someone uses gay to mean "lame." A gay guy I used to work with didn't care either. And I know three people aren't an accurate statistical representation of a population but their opinion does mean something.

It's always the people who aren't even affected by the word that feel like they need to speak up.

EDIT: Oh, and I know some people aren't going to agree with me. I'm not going to bicker so I'll just leave it at that and let you all disect my post and pick it apart. This topic always ends up being a shitty back and forth "no you're wrong" affair, so I'm going to save myself some stress and ignore it from now. Just wanted to speak my mind.

Uhhhh.

I'm not going to dissect your post because that's not what I do but uhh..... I use GAY all the time and am VERY MUCH AWARE of its tame connotation and laugh at people who yel "WORD CHOICE" when someone says "gay."

The problem here is that I can tell from the tone of the OP's voice that he is one of those people who is deathly afraid of being UNMANLY and effeminate. I know you aren't going to "bicker" but as someone who frequently says FAGGOT and GAY on these forums, I would like to say it's completely immature and I really don't have a good excuse for using it. I have gay friends that don't mind, but I also have a few that do, and they are pretty objectively right on this.
