Of all the things on the internet I can't find like, bilingual dictionaries as a .xls or a formatted text file so I could mess around with it and make flashcards or something. It's pretty annoying. Anyone know where I can find something like that? All that comes up when I search around is like, shitty random translation programs which even if I had the money wouldn't be what I was looking for.

I dunno, Spanish or something? I already have a dictionary file for Japanese but I was wondering that sort of thing existed for any language. Somebody else I know is doing Chinese so maybe they'd want one for Chinese too

I mean there must be SOMETHING because there are so many dictionary sites and they must use some kind of database

I was searching for something like this too but haven't had much luck so far. I found a few English ones but they were only for letters A - C.   Somebody told me to use a dictionary API but I am even having trouble finding anything decent too.

Edit: If you can't find anything it would be a great idea to startup a website which offers this. Offer the dictionaries in categories (slang, alphabetically, common words, short words etc) as free downloads and use advertisements to help monetize the website.

That would be pretty cool, actually. Can you post or upload that Japanese one?
