If I was anything like this in real life, I'd be disowned by my family, left homeless and beaten to death.

I'm similar in opinions and things like that, but there are two key differences.  In real life I argue a lot more, and if I see the opportunity to make a joke about sex, I'll be all over it.  Just like I was all over your mom.

I'm fairly similar to my real life self. There are a few differences but no major ones. I'm about as clueless in real life as I am on the internet. Of course my real life self also varies. I act one way in front of certain people and in another way in front of others, so my internet persona is probably identical to one of these... 8^)

i dunno as i get older the way i am on this and day to day is merging together. i looked back at my posts from a while ago and i was just a stupid kid a few years ago on this acting out as much as i could cos i was too shy to do it elsewhere. now the only difference is the style of jokes, cos this place will get more jokes than people i know in real life.

I'm an asshole online. I cuss excesively and such.
on MSN and RL I'm much more laid back, chilled, at ease, respectful, humble and modest.
this is the same with me.

I don't think I ever swear in real life, and if I use faggot it's only with close friends in a mocking sense of people who use it seriously

it's too hard to convey lots of things through text, so I just get lazy and swear and stuff.

Swearing is definitely a difference between me offline and online.  I swear moderately around my friends and when I'm around my family I don't swear at all.

I'm very ill-mannered and say a lot of inappropriate shit here, because I can.  It's good to get it out of my system, because irl I can't.  I have an almighty boss and my parents beat the shit out of me when I was little if I wasn't perfect growing up.  irl I have virtually perfect manners and am the best and most respectful house guest you could ever imagine having.

Have friends who do really annoying shit in your/other people's houses?  Friends who you're embarrassed to hang out with in public because you know they're going to do something completely stupid and not even realize it?  Yea... me too.  I'm really glad I'm not like that.

My posts on GW are more intelligently composed than anything that actually comes out of my mouth in real life-this is because I rarely think before I speak but I put a tremendous amount of thought into what I post. I also don't swear as much on the forums as I do in real life. As far as actual personality goes there isn't any kind of a difference. I only know how to be one person so I can't swap personalities at a moment's notice just because I want to jump online.

For the most part, my personality tends to stay the same.  I think there are some more subtle differences between the two, but they aren't really things that would make me seem like an entirely different person (eg: I believe that I'm a little more willing to voice my opinion on the internet rather than in real life, and things like that.  My mannerisms are pretty much the same)

As far as my opinions and everything go, I am exactly the same.  The only difference is that I'm WAY more passive in arguments and stuff in real life since I'm not good with TALKING TO PEOPLE and shit, and...that's why I do it online I guess!

Pretty much this except the opposite. I tend to stay in the shadows now-days on GW, but in real life if I have a different opinion I'll tell you. I do that here too, but it's only on the rare occasion that I a) am really interested in the subject and b) the topic is new enough for me to get into without reading a lot of shit I don't want to read (I don't like to join a topic unless I've read every response beforehand and that's really tiring at the 3+ page mark).

I'm a bit more blunt on the forum tbh.

Also less English.

curse here and there, misspell here; slur/mumble some words time to time IRL, Cruel and cynical sense of humor in both. Wyrm is also my IRL nickname to like 70-80% of my friends

I think the only differences is i talk more-so about real life events/problems over games in real life and vice versa here.. And I'm soft hearted and kind to the females in real life...

Pretty much the same, although my grammer and spelling are better when I express myself out of the internet.

Well, I don't go around saying Jawesome in "real-life"; but otherwise there isn't much in the way of differences between how I act online and off.  The rare time I do get out of sorts online is just that, a rare case and usually more reactionary than anything of my own accord for the most part.

I don't mean to blow my own horn here, but I'm a pretty cool guy in real life! Online though, I like to take it slow and just watch things unfold. I have neither the time nor the interest enough to get heated on the internet.
