You have to realize that some people (ie: Sarhan and myself) are so used to the offline modes because of the way and level we play on is higher than most people that we notice and sometimes can't handle lag over 100 or sometimes even 50ms, at least, I know I can't. So sometimes you or others might not notice lag while there really is some lag that affects precise timing and shit and it fucks players like us over.

Also I can't connect to WFC, I think it has something to do with my single-layer dump. I'll install an on/off switch on my wiikey tomorrow and get the game legit I guess

Well, it depends on location and internet connection I guess, but me and Trick got some heavy input lag, and my other friends and I were completely lagged out i.e. no movement for a good 15 seconds in the beginning of a match. Generally it's pretty good, though.

I'll admit that I have noticed some slight lag when I play you guys online, but the only time it was really obvious was with Sarhan. Which sucks, because I was looking forward to fighting him most (no offense, everybody else). Anyway, playing other people (at least in 1 on 1) feels almost as seamless as playing people sitting right next to me, but we'll see if that changes at all.

I'll try to be on more tomorrow. Had work tonight, so I couldn't join in the fun.

So I won't trash talk yet, but I have a feeling that Erave and Sarhan will be my only competition. I've yet to 1v1 Sarhan, but I think that he'll go down swiftly.

I guess that's trash talk. Anyways, Sarhan, me and you 1v1 tomorrow. You make a good teammate, but I think you'll make a better punching bag.

Yea, Im used to timing techniques while juggling people around in the air and having to hit A and then seeing it register 3 seconds later really fucks me over. I think I could take on anyone here if matches were lagless. Against people who I dont lag against (KoG/Blind) I do really well and think Ive only lost once.

edit: I am really hoping that I can copy all of my custom maps from my Japanese Wii into the American version via SD card... that is probably a very slim possibility though! Oh well, they are pretty easy to replicate anyway.

Man, Fox is still as annoying as all hell. His stupid fucking shield thing blocks EVERY PK attack which is downright retarded. Who's idea was it to bring that faggot back in the game?

EDIT: After playing longer, Nintendo seems to have been really out to get anyone who used ranged tactics. Lucas and Ness can absorb every projectile (and Ness' surrounds his frikkin body) and it lowers their damage as well. Mario's been "fixed" so badly I don't even want to play as the guy anymore.

EDIT 2: Whatever you guys do, don't listen to Snake's codec when fighting Lucas as it spoils a touching moment from Mother 3.

Uh well, Ness has always had that move, so nothing has really changed if that's what you mean. And it doesn't absorb every projectile, only energy based ones like Samus' charge shot, pretty much every PK attack, Pikachu's electricity, etc. Fox's reflector is much more annoying because it does reflect EVERY projectile. Mario's cape is pretty awesome too because it can deflect physical attacks too; the downside is that the cape has to hit the character itself to turn them around, so it doesn't work very well on Marth, Ike, etc.

I agree that Fox can be annoying with the reflector, especially if you are Ness/Lucas, but you can't expect every character to be evenly matched against each other. Obviously there will be certain advantages in certain match-ups. Besides, I think that Lucas could hold up pretty well VS Fox since he has MUCH better A moves than Ness.

That was a lag issue on my part. Something was wrong with my connection, but it's been resolved and it's fairly lag free now. If you want to play again, let me know.

Haha...sure thing, man. We'll one on one as soon as I get back from school today. Will you be on at 5:30 PM central? I'm planning on hanging out with some buddies at 6 PM to play Brawl, so the closer we start to 5:30, the more matches we'll be able to get in.
