This statement is false.

I don't want to get into it again because I can think of at least 30 topics I've ranted about how it is the worst fucking game in EXISTANCE, but suffice to say it is terrible by ALL means.

Hence... Grandia 2 and Grandia 3 are my worst gaming experiences.

Ever.

I really dont see how, but like you said you dont want to get into it and ill respect that.

But I dont think that G2 or 3 (which actually was leaps better than 2) were as bad as oh say, Xenosaga Ep2 or fucking FFV.

And another game to add to the list, Nightmare of Draga (or however you spell it). Its awful. There are too many, but the main one being the ever so delightful "turn-off when you save game" feature.

Q..Quest 64, anyone?

I enjoyed Quest 64. :( Mostly because it was the only real N64 traditional RPG that I remember. I thought it was cool that you could move around in battle. :P
I didn't care much for the hidden spirits and empty towns, though.

Are you serious?  I mean they could have been better games but it's a pretty big stretch to say that they are worst video games ever made.  Even if you hated their irreverent Japanese saturday-morning cartoon feel or whatever, there's no way that those can be the worst games you've ever played.

Private Servers seem to be more superstrict on botting (due to having like 200 members half of them being GMs). I was always hearing tales down the Giran backstreets about people getting banned so I decided not to risk it.

He didnt say that, he said they were his worst video game experiences. I am pretty sure the Grandia games (2 and 3) are FAR from the worst games ever made.

Either way, I know the first one was an amazing game, start to finish, even with the annoying voice acting the game made up for it with its breath-taking soundtrack and game play.

Fine, I will once again explain why these games are terrible.

The stories are, as mentioned, terrible. They're predictable, boring, and ridiculous. The same can be said for most jrpgs, of course, but I've not found any that I've enjoyed less, and I've played quite a few. The games follow a set story. Point a to point b WITHOUT EXCEPTION. A linear game is fine as long as it is flexible even a LITTLE. You don't even make important choices in these games. You just READ TEXT.  Even the characters were bland and completely unmemorable. The only one who seemed to have any personality that I can remember was the devil girl in 2.

And even worse is that there are NO SIDE QUESTS. Talking to people in towns is ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS. There is nothing passed the main story. Sure Grandia 2 had that one field available for you to go back to and WOO FIGHT SOME MORE. But that wasn't even worth it.

The battle system was boring and sometimes incredibly frustrating. An open battle field but... you can't control where the characters run? TWO THUMBS UP.

And finally, after wading through the ocean of garbage for the 40 hours or so you invest in the games, hoping the endings will be a redeeming factor you end up ALL OUR DREAMS COME TRUE.

You said you would explain why these GAMES are terrible, yet all I see you do is flame G2.

Dont include the other 2 games if you only hate the 2nd one.

Grandia 1 was full of side quests, an engaging story and an interesting battle system. You can control where the characters run, it just requires strategy on the player's part. I remember in G1 when you fight some giant squid boss with Justin, Sue and Feena and you had to run away when it sucked you in.

As for Grandia 3, all I can say is that the story is very jrpg-ish but it gets better. Trust me, I cant stand games that are anime-ish, (Arc the Lad: TotS), but you cant overly attack these games without support from all 3. It sounds like you just played the 2nd one and were like "OMG THIS IS ANIME JAPFAGGISH THEY ALL SUCK"

I recommend you go back and give the 1st one another go, but that's just my opinion.

I never said anything about 1. I enjoyed the original.

Grandia 3 was EXACTLY THE SAME as Grandia 2 in every way except the story which was actually kind of WORSE.

I WANT TO FLY AND BE FREE LIKE A BIRD! And my mom is a party member!

edit: and no it doesn't get better I played through the entire game and the story was completely dreadful.

Q..Quest 64, anyone?

Quest 64 looked awful. I never played it, but I saw my cousin play it, and it drove him mad. The game just looked absolutely boring.

Grandia 3's maps are ridiculously huge and frustrating to navigate. Like, one dungeon will be 5-6 of these enormous maps that take like 15 minutes for each one (more if there are lots of enemies (most maps (they take goddamned forever okay))) and then usually you get to walk back out again. Also the battles are way too long. I get that they wanted to increase the diffculty but man it is just ridiculous.

So yeah Grandia 3 is my worst gaming experience in recent memory except for maybe Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter.

I actually like Grandia 2 though.
Anyway... I played a bit of this... And I'm not so fond of the setting. I hate that whole ghetto "gangsta fo life" thing, and I've never been much of a baseball player.

Gotta agree with you.

Although wasnt some character in that shitty Tales GC title someone's mother? Im not sure since I didnt play too much into the game but the terrible story made me stop.

Edit: Oh wait, it was Tales of Symphonia.

I don't see why this is such a big deal. If your parent could fight and was with you and you were fighting things for whatever reason wouldn't you want them to help?

Why not? Final Fantasy VI had Shadow and Strago, and in VIII I think Squall's father was playable (not sure, wasnt big on FF8).

As long as the said parent is a likable character then I dont mind it so much.

Edit: Tim beat me to it.

You haven't played a shit game until you have played Alfred Chicken for PS1.

Seriously, its sooo bad that no one has posted any password cheats for it on GameFAQS or made any topics about it on the board.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/data/569258.html

This game is just plain terrible.
I used to be fantastic_games if anyone remembers me, though I didn't contribute much I loved this site to death.

The Game Boy Alfred Chicken was fun! SNES one was alright too. From what I understand, the PSX version was just the SNES game with new pre-rendered graphics, and it was slapped out as a budget title.

Steam.

Why?
It's constantly crashing and then locking at 26% updating client saying it's already running when it's not (YES I'VE CHECKED TASK MANAGER). It then has to be reinstalled and merely reinstalling the client deletes all of your games, all of your saves and all of your favourite'd servers.

When?
Two to fucking three times a week eoiutowiutoklahdsljgfjhsgdfkhelthklqsjhgklsaghklsdghwejht29038t5u02w9t8 0293t2qtn3

Man that's awful.  I thought Dragon Quarter was absolutely brilliant.
