I personally think Rockman's would have been better without the planet, plus yeah, it was too pixelly and it would have been impossible to make it larger if needed. It was still very good though.

Ahh, that's why I offered to do a vector version. (though vector foget would probably have looked pretty crappy!)

At first I was really opposed to the winner. He kinda has that suicide-bomber I AM FLAILING MY ARMS stereotype look about him with his GW cleavage and all.

Also, I didn't thought the relation between legos and game building was that ambiguous. I mean just saying it that way makes it stupidly obvious. I know it has nothing to do with why the "mascot" appeared to begin with (I think?) , but its not much of stretch.

We COULD also like come up with an actual real original mascot? And have another contest where wed need to implement it in a new logo?

Wow, thanks for your support. I made the logo specifically for the GW community site and I personally think it fits in really well there, but overall I really like Psychoskull's logo since it is more iconic and unique, and can be used in lots of places in the present and future. (Plus he can easily adapt and edit his work since he's got the artistic abilities down pat!)

Nope, because it's not actually "Lego^tm Man".  It's "Ambiguous Yellow Block Construction Toy Man".

He just has more to do with gaming, but at the same time is unique as a mascot.

Psychoskull looks the best, but I have to go with Aztec for best concept.

Mateui's is just text with a ring around one of the letters, not to mention it's not very easy on the eyes.  There's just too many layer effects on the text making it look 'overcooked' - especially the white outer glow.

Psychoskull's is the best to me, although Foget would have been a better choice, as mentioned already.  The only thing I'd say that needs to be added is a slightly darker shade on the GW text to make it stand out more.  There's only two colors right now, but I think adding one slightly darker shade very conservatively around the bottom would make it look 3-d.  Overall, it's excellent.  The colors, use of line weight, etc.  It's iconic like someone said as well; if you were to convert it to just one color so that it could be used in shirt designs, it would work and still be easily recognizable.  Some of the other designs are simply not vector-friendly and wouldn't convert well.

Aztec's is also very good, but I personally would have drawn the letters by hand to match the hand-drawn look of the character; the letters seem too clean-cut to me as it is.  It's not a glaring flaw or anything, just something I would have done to make it look imperfect and not like a downloaded font.

i kind of figured physco's would win, i liked aztecs and rockmans a lot too.

Thanks guys. Also the reason I made it simple was because I thought this was just for the GW Log, and if it was good enough it would go on the main site. So are we using Psychoskulls for the GW Log also?
