I want to know where I can show off my brand new fishing hat together with fannypack so let's talk about kickass destinations for weekend trips.

I have been to Costa Rica and Czech Republic.

Prague is beautiful, it is like a fairy tale there.

Costa Rica has beautiful beaches, and amazing mountainsides.

I would highly recommend either.

Scotland is beautiful. Paris is fantastic and cool, I don't know about the rest of France. Most of Eastern Europe is pretty nice, especially the Czech Republic.

Ireland is cool; don't buy any beer but Guinness or Killigan's there because they're A) really good there and B) ironically, by FAR the cheapest.

If you go to Ireland stop by Galway, it is a nice port town. I got thrown out of a pub there! Forcibly.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

- Holland is cold as fuck. Don`t come here.
- France kicks @$$ except that no one seems to speak English. Pricks...
- Germany is the same as Holland
- Spain/Portugal/Italy is very nice and cheap. Great food, great prices, not so good women (amazing generalization! Look at me being a racist bastard). Women in Spain do look awesome though.
- Greece if you enjoy that history stuff. Which is quite cool. There is A LOT to see and the sky at night is the most beautiful thing you will EVER see in your entire fucking life. It`s seriously worth it paying like 1000 euro`s to go to a little deserted place in Greece at night and watch the stars. Fucking great!
- Been to Londen once. Very expensive, cold and a lot of annoyed people. I was there with new years eve and the fireworks there are just spectacular.

those are the best places in Europe that I know of. Don`t know about "showing off your fishing hat and fannypack" though.

If your not limited to Europe, Brazil is also an awesome place to go. Not very expensive, beautiful beaches, BEAUTIFUL women (seriously! Goddesses!). Again, nobody speaks English...

Never been to the East so I can`t tell you anything about that. Don`t go to Japan though. I only hear bad stuff from friends that go there. To many people, huge waiting lines, expensive, women don`t have bewbs.

EDIT: Hmmm... reading back, I should be a publicity agent or something...

Weekend trip?  I can't see myself flying halfway across the world to spend a weekend somewhere (like, 3 days is out of the question).

Anyways, the Middle East is sorely underrated when it comes to travelling because people are all paranoid about the war and shit but as long as you stay out of the war torn countries (namely Afghanistan, Iraq, and recently Iran) then you're fine.

I've been to Damascus in Syria and Jerusalem which are really old and beautiful cities and even though they've been modernized much of the city is the same as it was a thousand years ago which is really cool.  Dubai in the UAE is pretty much the Middle East's LITTLE AMERICA and that place is made up of 99% rich people and everyone speaks some english as well as french and arabic (it's ridiculous how many tri-linguals there are). Sometime in my life I want to visit Cairo as well as Morroco if only to check out the crazy street bazaars and swim across the Gibraltor.

On the Asian side of things, Singapore has got to be the prettiest (and cleanest) city I've been to.  Once again, the place is practically like little Manhattan and 3/4 the population speaks english.  There's actually a pretty decent size of Irish, Pakistani, and Hispanic minorities living there (go figure) and it's one of the cleanest cities you'll ever find (which makes sense considering spitting in public is a 100$ fine).  Hong Kong is the absolute opposite of Singapore in that it's trashy and disgusting but there's no shortage of sights to see and places to spend money.

I would advertise Toykyo but I don't want to come off as a japfag.  Plus, that city is really, really seedy.  Every japfag speaks highly of it but HOLY FUCK if you actually travel the city and see the sights you realize how creepy it is.  Everyone walks in single file lines nuts to butts and no one says shit to you even when they're pushing you into a subway car and packing it like sardines.  If you ever go there, stay out of Shibuya because that's where all the otaku hang out.  There's these things called Maid Cafes or something where girls dressed in maid outfits serve you tea and are really submissive and there's tons of hentai manga stands that open sell lolicon and tentacle shit.

I'd also like to add that Japan has a lot of gangsters.  For a country with no guns and the hardest working students, you think they wouldn't have the free time to hang out at every fucking street corner with their shirts off looking "menacing."  I put that in quotations because the average Japanese gangster looks nothing like they do in anime; they look like scrawny kids (i have yet to see a well muscled Jap, I'm sorry) and they have the same mannerisms as GREASERS from the American 50s.  I wish I spoke Japanese so I could tell them "Hey, you guys are funny to me because you represent a half century old stereotype for Americas rebel youth, you uncouth bastard."

It's hard to do anything as a gangster when you have guns but they carry around little switch blades, steal candy from babies, beat up other kids for their lunch money, modify their cars, loiter in public parks, and tattoo themselves.

marcus you have been really far afield. how come?

i'm going to france in a couple of days and i'm gonna stay in some hostel with a bunch of other slimey youths. i'm staying in paris for a week then i'm gonna get the train right down to marseilles (or somewhere like that, i haven't decided yet), so i don't have anything to say about it yet but i'm gonna go see all the shit in paris get it out of the way and go down them catacombs etc, then kind of chill out for a week and go to vinyards and stalk the docks of marseilles after midnight.

aside from that i've been quite a lot of places, but it's generally been tourist spots with my family like greek island kos (which was a great place, the atmosphere there is real smooth), around spain/turkey and i've been to new york and washington dc. i don't really have any stories or anecdotes about travelling but kos was a nice place to kick back, and new york was pretty cool too although all i really done was walk around.

Argentina is the only place I've been to and it's kickass...wait I live here...doh

To go to the point, it's like Brazil, except the hot women aren't transexuals and there's also mountains and skying if you go more to the E or S.
Do you know the jokes they don't tell gays?

I want to add to this that Qatar is also apparently very nice.  A friend of mine took one of his passes in the middle of his deployment and went to Qatar and said that it was pretty much the best thing ever.

Italy is pretty awesome I was there a couple years ago. Also apparently Australia is a great place to visit, but I don't really like it (because I live there, ya)
