So, issue 1 of the continuation of last year's The Dark Tower: Gunslinger Born is finally out and I just headed out to grab my copy. I wouldn't say it's as good as the first series but it's definitely up there as one of the best comics you can get on the stands right now.

Unlike The Gunsling Born, The Long Road Home is a totally original story written by the same team as the graphical illustration of Wizard and Glass's story-within-a-story, though it does continue from the events in the last issue. This time, it focuses more on the fleshing out of Roland's ka-tet and other supporting characters like Sheemie, and works on some elements introduced in Wolves of the Calla .

The comic itself is pretty damn good, the art is on par with what was in The Long Road Home (I seriously love Jae Lee's drawing style), the only thing that isn't as good as the first series in my opinion would be the writing, which is still good but is obviously not based solely on King's work. The short story at the end is still excellent tho, and fleshes out the universe of the Dark Tower a lot.

So yeah, discuss/show your appreciation for this series because it's probably the only ongoing comic out there until Final Crisis that isn't fucking bad.
"If evil truly exists, it has been bred from the heart of men."
"Humans are lone animals living in society."

These the ones by Stephen King? I was interested when I heard Marvel got him writting a comic, but then never really got round to checking it out.
