New HBO mini series coming this summer, from the creators of The Wire.

Generation Kill (2004) is a book written by Rolling Stone journalist Evan Wright chronicling his experience as an embedded reporter with the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion‎ during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. His account of life with the Marines was originally published as a three-part series in Rolling Stone in the fall of 2003. "The Killer Elite", the first of these articles, went on to win a National Magazine Award for Excellence in Reporting in 2004.

So, what do you guys expect from this? Think it'll be good? Has anyone read the book/articles? Personally, I'm really looking forward to it. Not because I'm particularly interested in the subject matter or anything, but because The Wire is my favorite show, so I'd be pumped about anything coming from the same people.

sounds cool, never heard of this book but if it's david simon and his posse i'm gonna be watching it.
