"Peekaboo is pleased to confirm that it is in talks to develop a game for the Nintendo Wii that meets mainstream demand for the fun and fitness benefits of pole dancing," the company said in an e-mailed statement. "Peekaboo and its partners are focused on using Wii-friendly hardware to make aerobic pole dancing instantly accessible just as 'Guitar Hero' did for rock'n'roll."

people who are pole dancing for FITNESS are just fooling themselves

edit: how could you even have a pole controller i don't get how the game could sense what you're doing properly at all

a lot of pole dancing maneuver i would think wouldn't be very safe for amateurs to perform without assistance or guidance....but hey if people are willing to pay for such a thing then why not.

Interestingly enough, Bandai-Namco have one on the way as well too except theirs seem to more closely follow "Boogie's" setup in using the controllers, except two Wii remotes instead of the Wiimote/nunchuck combo. (first game to do so and why the heck hasn't a game involving drumming come along with such a configuration?) In any case, should be interesting to see how THQ manages to leverage the balance board for their game by comparison.

They sell poles over here in general shops as fitness equipment. I don;t think "IS MY VAGINA GRINDING SAFE TO PERFORM?" is exactly at the top of these kinda people's heads!

Yeah i know but with videogames its usually like, whatever fucking controversy we can make, we will make. I know its retarded but I cant really help but think eventually someone will bring this up.

dunno if this is sarcasm but man its a pretty popular fitness thing for women nowadays. and it almost certainly is a pretty brutal workout. it takes a lot of core strength to do the acrobatic stuff that strippers tend to do. not that i've ever been to a strip club...

i like how companies see the wii as potential for cashing in on ideas that would never fly beforehand. its actually pretty incredible the kind of developers nintendo is drawing in.
