About the Contest Misunderstanding:
If you look over the first time I posted it ... instead of the last 2 ... you'd see that I was indeed on time. I have a few disorders and my emotions make me freak out a bit at times.
And if you fully read the entire thread, as I had, maybe you would understand a little bit more, and judge me a bit less.
I fully despise how everyone fawns over someone because they are rich btw. And how the entire group of you teamed up against me and made it a Sarevok vs. Me issue, when it was really an issue of my Link Not Getting Seen, because someone Who wasn't Sarevok, made a List with the wrong Link, that Sarevok then proceeded to use.
All this because someone couldn't play it due to a .dll file not being there. And if Sarevok hadn't expressed such distaste for files not being there to run things, maybe I wouldn't have even bothered. Also, I would not have said anything if my game had been added to the list of contest entrys that Sarevok created in the first place! SAREVOK DIDN'T PUT MY GAME ON THE LIST. He Lied. And that was BEFORE my Not-so-Tactful posts. EVERYONE'S GAME WAS THERE BUT MINE. ... WOULDN'T YOU BE PISSED TOO ?
If I met the lot of you petty condescending lemmings, I'd probably kill myself for having known you.
Or maybe kill you all, then kill myself, as you'd probably piss me off to such a degree that I wouldn't be able to Stop myself.
Maybe that's not the most Tactful thing to say, but Truth usually isn't Tactful.
I do admit that I could have handled things better. But I don't believe he was going to include my game anyways, as it seems to be the only one not made with a version of RpgMaker.
Ultimately, I should not have entered a contest hosted at Gaming World.

first off, Sarevok, along with many others, was keeping count of the time. by my forum counter, he posted at April 27, 2008, 04:59:58 PM saying the timeline was up. for people keeping track who didn't realize the GMT deadline was GMT, some contacted him in private, and he extended the deadline by one hour for those saying "upload is coming" or "I'm testing bugs really quick". at 05:59:58, the contest was over. MBK posted his game before either deadline, and was skipped over in a list because his game
did not work. he then reposted his game, FIXED, at April 27, 2008, 07:02:24 PM. this is one hour over the bugtesting limit. MBK's game, which probably would have been included, was technically already against the rules. he spent two extra hours fixing his game from a crashing bug, where everyone else had one.
it is now impossible to read the thread because he erased all his posts and replaced them with farewells.
no one at GW "likes" rich members. I myself am not close to upper middle class, and several mods and admins have difficult dayjobs they work because they can't afford not to. GW has no class bias towards the wealthy, and Sarevok got a good share of ribbing and disbelief at the beginning of the topic and on IRC for essentially throwing 450 dollars away. regardless, he did it out of the kindness of his heart, and that is why people treated him with some deference in the topic (since it is
his money).
the list Sarevok put together? doesn't exist. the list was originally formed by a new member, Sapsucker, for his convenience, meaning that it was not official. regardless, the list was posted after the time limit had passed. there was no lie because there was no list by Sarevok. in addition, MBK's game still did not work. non-working games were not on the list.
also, once informed, Sapsucker added MBK's game to the list almost immediately after. it even includes an obvious edit stating there are now 24 games as opposed to 22, and says the list will be updated if he forgets anything.
MBK has been rude and awful to everyone, accusing Sarevok of lying about having any money and of cutting and running. if anyone has reacted with anger towards him, it's because he's been hideously ignorant and mean to everyone, regardless of any excuse.
several games were not made in RM2K, and I can state with some authority Sarevok does not particularly care for RM (I do not know if he has distaste for it); he and I have often spoken about a reduced focus towards RM. TOG's own Sewer Goblet was one of the better recieved games and was created in Gamemaker.
no one has been driven away from GW because their game was rejected from a contest before.
