Hi, I'm Mason and this is my first "hi, I'm Mason" post ever.

I'm a 23 year old art student living in Tampa who in addition to game development/gaming enjoys arting (any medium will do although pixels are my absolute favorite and probably my dream job), watching 90s cartoons, killing brain cells and eating until I black out.  I have very bad taste in very loud music, electric guitars give me a huge biggy and unfortunately for my neighbors, I also fancy myself a musician.  Everything from Alice in Chains to Molly Hatchet to Iron Maiden to Butthole Surfers to Dissection to Clutch to Mother Love Bone to Blind Melon to Bad Company to Ween is fair game, as well as many others.

I probably won't post too often unless I feel I can contribute something to the topic at hand (which might be rare because I have almost no experience with RM or any other game maker program really) or I reach some milestone on my latest project (which WILL be rare since I'm taking the masochistic approach of creating the game content from scratch and the engine from untitled.cpp up, solo), but yeah.  Introducing one's self seems to be the courteous thing to do here so hi :) looking forward to posting at you all!

Hello mr stoneworker, you sound like you would enjoy irc more than forums if you don't plan to post much.
Come and annoy us with your very bad taste in music on irc.whahay.net channel #gamingw 8)

Sup Mason!

Do I also detect that you like DQ/DW? If so that's awesome in my book as they were my first foray into the RPG world.

You also might want to check out the Graphical Arts section of the forums if you enjoy "arting!" =D

PS: I like me some Alice in Chains once in awhile, they're ok.

@Jeff
I'm a transplant from Massachusetts, but who isn't these days

@Sarevok
Thanks for the tip man, #gamingw is pretty chill :)

@TMAC
Sweet, how'd you know? DW on NES was my second foray into CRPGdom; Ultima IV on my beloved A500 (R.I.P.) was my first, but they're both big influences.
I've been browsing the art section a bit, looks like my first actual post will end up there.

@hero_bash
I wish :\

Thanks for the welcome folks, see you all around!

Welcome to the forums man, hope you learn to love trolls like Inri Cheetos and wackjobs like Doktormartini, because that's about as entertaining it gets 'round these parts. Oh, and most of GW is elitist so just watch what you say and you'll fit in fine.
