So... being a huge fan of M83, I decided to spread the love.  M83's fourth full length album was released on April 19th and I haven't really seen any mention of them on these boards.  The new album seems to be a pretty big departure of their traditional sound but I kinda saw this coming with their last EP, Digital Shades.  Reminds me of a mix of 80's synth/pop and shoegaze mixed with the M83 flavor.  Check it out people.

Also... M83 is doing a fucking NA tour <3 <3 <3

man they aren't coming even near the south.

also I've never been a huge fan of M83, something about their whole shtick kind of irriates me. I like my electro shit to either be dancey or weird and they've always fallen inbetween.

Yeah, I can see where you are coming from.  I prefer their less "dancey" stuff like "On a White Lake, Near a Green Mountain", "America", "Kelly" and the likes.  Digital Shades is a great CD to listen to if you just want to chill.  Not really sure what I think about their new direction but I need some time to digest the new album.
