also I hated Illusion of Gaia for some reason. Meant to try Terranigma but never did. I remembed IoG looking better but Terranigma seems to have that familiar RPG look to it
Terranigma is much better. A lot of people don't like Illusion of Gaia (I did), but like Terranigma.

I'm not sure how obscure/well-known this is, but I remember playing it as a kid and never hearing anything about it since, so...
The Neverhood

It was an adventure game, but a really strange one: It was all done in claymation, for a start, and there was very little dialogue throughout... And it also had a great soundtrack of all this dixieland jazz stuff. I remember it as being kinda hard, so I didn't really get far, but it was still so weird and cool that it always kinda stuck with me.
Anyway I'm downloading it again now, so I guess I'll see whether the childhood nostalgia pays off.

Oh man Neverhood was awesome. I think I played very little of it though. That video really reminded me how funny and cool the game was.

Herc's Adventures

It's a really fun hack and slash that I used to play this all the time. Although I've never beaten it...hmm maybe I should pick it up again.
