Dear Guests,
At the time of posting this topic there are 110 guests online performing a variety of strange actions like VIEWING THE PROFILE OF KENTONA and reading random topics. Do you guys have accounts and not log in or are you just browsing randomly? If you're just browsing randomly or came upon this site from wherever to do whatever do you INTEND to register an account and login and if not, why not?
I am just curious because this is a pretty significant number of people just performing strange motions while not logged in and I'm curious what WE can do to make it more appealing for you to actively take part in the community.
Or are you all just waiting for GW6?
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
Horatio Jackson.
Dear administrator,
The phenomenon you're describing is caused by a range of so-called "spiders" searching through the site at behest of various web indexing services such as Google or Yahoo. Basically, these are programs that visit every page they can find in order to determine their collective content, structure, importance and authority—and with many web indexing companies being proprietary about their methods, we can safely assume that this is not an exhaustive list.
I suggest using
Wikipedia as a starting point for your research in case you want to learn more about spiders. There might be specific information pertaining to your forum software in the manual that came with it. Please don't let this revelation put you down; the World Wide Web is a highly complex (and, some would say, complicated) system with many wildly varying interacting components, and as such, it is difficult to know everything about its workings.
I hope this will help you towards understanding.
Regards,
Dada
