Fuck Souljah Boy, 2pac all the way.. I mean Ice T. Wasn't Ice T in West Side Connection that alone should give him the respect he deserves from that little shit.
Nah he wasn't. Ice T still deserves a lot of respect though, he was really one of the first artists to bring gangster rap to the forefront in my eyes.
Personally I don't like the music from either of them much (especially Ice T's recent stuff as far as he goes, it's just all round poor and we've all heard Soulja Boy) and I think this feud is a bit silly because nobody really likes Soulja Boy. He's just a kid who played with FL, made a dance and got signed by Collipark off internet hype and I certainly don't think he deserves all this 'hip hop is dead!' stuff put on him. I think people like Dem Franchise Boyz, D4L and all those nursery rhyme snap groups are much worse because these aren't 17 year old kids having fun, these are people who actually think they're making good music and are really too old to be having lyrics like "C'mon trick, c'mon trick, here come mr chocolate". If anything is really hurting hip hop it'd be people never buying CD's, but really there's not a lot that can be done and people just like to whinge about that and crappy music (ignoring every genre will have its shitty mainstream artists) so apparently that means 'hip hop is dead'.
