Hello THAR.

Post in here once daily and tell us what song you are listening to at the moment! Tell us a little about it and try post an interesting video of it or at least something related to it so we can hear the song itself. This should be a long running topic, I know I'll post here alot and I hope you guys do too.

HERE GOES....

I am currently listening to:

The Black Dahlia Murder- Deathmask Divine (such a cool vocalist)

This is an interesting song because its about a guy who was obsessed with a woman and he secretly lived with her corpse for seven years, he made the corpse a mask, a dress and everything. Apparently they slept in the same bed and its been heavily rumoured he had sex with her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Tanzler

After his arrest: Separated from his obsession, Tanzler used a death mask to create a life-sized effigy of Hoyos, and lived with it until his death on July 3, 1952

Anyway here is the song:

Your turn, post anything!

im always willing to check out new music

Currently listening to:

MGMT - Kids

Very catchy, upbeat song. Great synth, great vocals. Not sure what it's about, think it's just about being a kid. Anyway, it's awesome.

Btw, that's not an official video. It's just got good quality sound so I chose to use it.

@Afura

I listened to it, basically one of the only genres of music I really can't get into. I don't like that style of vocals and that constant heavy riff in the background. Sorry, didn't like it.

Meh thats taste for you, its a wierd thing. I love that wall of sound technique.

Also theres a remix you might know: MGMT electric feel by justice which I really like.

I'm listening to
Haitian Fight Song - Charles Mingus

I dunno, I never really got into jazz as a genre because everything I'd heard of it always seemed more like backround music or whatever than something I'd actually listen to, but I've been checking out a bit of Charles Mingus's stuff and I like it a lot... Maybe because it's built more on a 'bass' sound that keeps it from just becoming abstract trumpet doodling or whatever.

Veil Of Maya - Its Not Safe To Swim Today
One of the few deathcore bands nowadays that I can actually stand. A bit more on the melodeath side but still awesome none the less.

Black Dahlia really aren't deathcore imo, I've read so many interviews where they used to argue like hell to get recognized as Death Metal. I don't understand why you don't like metal :(! That song is ok but I find it a bit hard to follow, awesome name though.

I'm listening to: K-OS: Sunday Morning.

He has a really good soul voice and this song just has that relaxed vibe. I really wish music like this was more popular.

Yeah, BDM is melodeath. I like metal, just not a majority of it.

Hell yeah man. That song is awesome, even though I perfer the Mingus, Mingus, Mingus, Mingus version.

Anyway, Sing a Song for You by Tim Buckley

Even though he's kind of in the shadow of his son, Jeff, now, it used to be the other way around. Tim Buckley is easily one of my top 5 favorite songwriters and this is probably my favorite love song ever.

SHELLAC ARE PLAYING IN MY TOWN THIS OCTOBER
I am seriously incredibly psyched for this. The funny thing is that I was going to spend the last of my money on tickets for a Butthole Surfers show next week, but a choice between the Butthole Surfers and Shellac isn't even a fucking choice at all.

So yeah, I'm re-listening to all their albums in preperation. Here's their song 'My Black Ass':

EDIT: Also Bled your video isn't working...
